Tron Rollercoaster delayed due to ransomware attack

Look likes someone's gonna have to be digitized to regain control. WALT DISNEY WORLD, FL -- Disney's 1982 computer-trip adventure Tron and its sequels (Tron: Reloaded, Tron: Revolutions, and The ReTron of the Jedi) are the inspiration for a new roller coaster currently under construction in the Magic Kingdom. The new coaster will  be entirely computer-generated, like every other new Disney attraction from here on. Unfortunately, the designers' quest for 80's-era computer realism also came with 80's-era lax cyber-security. And now the Tron ... Read more

Mickey Standard Time signed into law

We knew Congress was a Mickey Mouse operation. WASHINGTON, D.C. -- People grumble about the change from Daylight Savings to Standard Time and back again, and the grumbling is only growing louder. But how do we fix the problem? It's no secret that time zones are difficult to figure out -- especially when you change the time a couple of times a year. Bolivar, 63, was located at the park's Lost & Found in City Hall -- after five days apart from her family. "It started so simply," says Bolivar's son-in-law Oscar Peña Gimenez, 34, who was visiting Walt Disney ... Read more

New WDW airport opens sooner than expected

You'd think they'd wait until the runway was poured. EPCOT CENTER ATC CENTER, FL -- Less than one hour after we announced the opening of a new airport at Walt Disney World Resort and Spa, the first flights arrived at the airport. Several eagle-eyed readers called us to let us know that a flight of six aircraft passed over Epcot, on their way to land at the new airport! They aren't 737s, so we know it's not Southwest We are not sure which airline made ... Read more

Disney announces new churros, we think

The churro changes will be amazing! Maybe! We didn't catch every detail. UNCLE WALT'S H.Q., SVALBARD -- Our regular readers [up to five now!] know that we here at Uncle Walt's Insider love churros. That delicious cinnamon sugar treat is so perfect that even Philistines whose warped taste buds prefer cream cheese pretzels admit that churros "aren't half bad." Apparently, though, "perfect" can be improved on? Following yesterday's Churro de Mayo celebration, we received a call that shocked us to our core. Disney has found ... Read more
