DISNEYLAND, CA — Disney Parks and Resorts and Spas has just released new details on the coming Disneyland version of the Skyliner gondola system. Uncle Walt’s Insider can now confirm that the Disneyland Skyliner will connect to all 49 Good Neighbor Hotels!
These hotels are all located near the Disneyland Resort and Spa, with the lone exception of one Motel 6 in Fresno. The hotels receive the designation of “Good Neighbor” by giving friendly waves to Disneyland from their front porch, bringing over gifts of baked goods, and occasionally lending out their lawn mower.
Just twenty stations
When the system construction is completed, all Good Neighbor Hotels will have close access to one of the twenty Skyliner stations this program will require. (The three Disney-operated hotels will each have their own monorail station, so no Skyliner needed for them! They can just take a handcar.)
Interestingly enough, the gondola line to the Fresno Motel 6 will be the first to open. Once it’s operating, we’ll try it out and let you know what we think.
