No word yet on whether it will reopen in Anaheim or in Texas.

ANAHEIM, CA — The long awaited re-opening date of the Disneyland Land Resort has finally been announced! Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, Products, and Spas alongside some random dude named Gavin something, announced that Disneyland will re-open to guests on October 31, 2021, along with a Halloween party to welcome guests back.

Unlike previous Halloween parties, this will be open to all ticket and Annual Passholders, with a few changes. Disney will not be handing out any candy during the event, and there will be no special parades, music, or fireworks. Or decorations.

“It’s a special kind of ‘party’ to help avoid large crowds,” said D’Amaro.

Added restrictions

Much like the re-opening of the Walt Disney World resort, guests will be required to make reservations. The priority system will also be like that at Walt Disney World, with guests willing to drop some scrilla on the table will have top priority. [Ed.: We should mention that’s it’s not technically a bribe. Not that we’d know by experience…]

Priority booking includes anyone buying tickets or staying at a Disney resort or Disney Good Neighbor hotel, and friends of CEO Michael Eisner. Annual Passholders will have the opportunity to get the leftovers via a lottery system that will be prioritized by how much you spend on your annual pass, plus your average annual dollar spend at the parks on food and merchandise, AFTER the AP discount.

The reservation system will open on the 15th of October (2021). Hotel reservations will open up on October 1st (2021), with the first day of occupancy starting October 30th. (2021.) As always, Uncle Walt’s Insider will provide more details just as soon as we can make them up!
