“Dear (Step) Moms: I’ve been Bernie Sanders supporter. Now that he has dropped out of the race, should I support Joe Biden?” – Louisa S., Albany NY

Marty:

Dear Eliza: Very good question! I’ve ridden both of them, and they both have their good qualities.

But overall, I can guarantee you that the California version is superior. The opening scene, floating through the serene Blue Bayou while fireflies dance around you in the twilight, is something that the Magic Kingdom version just can’t match. Plus Disneyland’s has Johnny Depp, who I understand is now a permanent fixture of the ride.

Enjoy your trip!

Walt:

Hi Lou, thanks for asking.

To be honest, it really is better. To start off, you get that beautiful bayou scene, complete with the old man rocking in his chair, the banjo music playing. And you also pass by the Blue Bayou restaurant. There is additional cave scenes you pass through before you get to the town, and then at the end you climb back up the hill to the station.

I highly recommend you try both of them for yourself and make your own informed decision!

Harriet:

Just don’t go to Walt Disney World. There are too many people not there without you.

Greetings, Louisa.

Those folks who live on the left coast will try to tell you that everything on that side of the country is better. But, in this case, they may actually be correct.

Disneyland’s version of Pirates had multiple drops, and a bigger treasure room. Plus, buried deep within the treasure pile is the greatest treasure of them all:
