You didn’t think you’d get to keep him, did you?

NEVARRO — [Ed.: We have inside sources on Nevarro? Wow.] The holiday season’s favorite store, Build-A-Bear, is back in the news. This time, they will soon allow guests to build their own version of The Child, aka Baby Yoda, aka REDACTED!

Fans of the character are excited about this new offering — but maybe they shouldn’t be.

You can’t take it with you

There is a catch. When a Baby Yoda purchase is made, a store associate, or a Cast Member at Disney locations, will appear, dressed as The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian will then “rescue” the child, thus not allowing buyers to actually take one home.

Still, some folks are excited about just the experience of almost owning Baby Yoda. Prices for this service start at $24.99, with extra add-ons available, including a robe, a small metal ball, and a faux cup of bone broth.

This is the way

Guests who really, really want to take one home will have to fight The Mandalorian. Those who make it out of the store will be able to keep the plush toy and associated accessories. However, no refunds are given if you do not make it out.

Guests will also be required to sign a waiver, absolving the store from any liability from injuries. Parents are advised to leave their children at home, as our sources tell us that the Mandalorian will be a trained fighter, most likely a current or former member of the US Marine Corps.
