It’s not just the Reedy Creek board DeSantis can appoint.

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill today giving his office the ability to appoint board members to the Reedy Creek Improvement District, effectively stripping Disney of its self-governance and special tax breaks. But that’s not all the bill does!

It turns out that bill gives the governor’s office the ability to appoint specific Cast Members to “work with”* various Disney characters.

We’re not sure why he wanted this power, but if we had to guess, here’s what’s coming:

1. All of the evil characters will be played by Democrats from now own.

2. If Disney starts getting political again, he’ll have the “Goofy” Cast Members and “Seven Dwarfs” Cast Members trade characters.

3. Campaign advisor Christina Pushaw will be handing out DeSantis buttons and bumper stickers while dressed as Cinderella.

(Click here for more ways the governor’s office is punishing Disney!)

*To “work with a character,” in Disney-speak, means to put on a sweaty costume and pretend to be that character for the benefit of small children and over-imaginative adults. We don’t call it “playing a character” so the small children and over-imaginative adults can pretend the character is real and not ruin the “magic” for anyone. So please take that into consideration before reading this footnote.

What else could he do? Let us know in the comments below!
