The Holiday Special consistent ranks as everyone’s third favorite Christmas TV show, just behind “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “Battlestar Galactica: Home for the Holidays?”
BATUU — With Halloween behind us and Christmas decorations spreading across Disney parks on both coasts, fans have been wondering: will the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge areas be decorated for the holidays? Uncle Walt’s Insider can now answer that with a resounding “You betcha!” Sources tell us that the Star Wars areas on both coasts will get a holiday makeover.
And not just any makeover: there will be decorations, theming and entertainment throughout the lands based around 1978’s glorious Star Wars Holiday Special!
All the favorites
“How could we miss this opportunity?” asks Disney (the company) spokesperson Jun Disney (no relation). “After all, the Star Wars Holiday Special currently has a 2.1 average user review, which is really high. I think three stars is the maximum rating!” [Ed.: It’s not.]
We’re curious what “Life Day” decorations will look like, but further details weren’t available. Of course, we expect that the Bea Arthur animatronic will play a significant role during the holidays.
