CORRECTION: Disney Springs is open, people are actually going

Hey, we get some things right, occasionally. DISNEY SPRINGS, FL -- Uncle Walt's Insider previously reported that no one is going Disney Springs in spite of it being open for business. It turns out that might have not been 100% correct. Or 50% correct. Or at all correct. It was a big misunderstanding. Our own Uncle Walt drove to Orlando for over 48 hours straight (the drive from Svalbard is pretty long) and thought he had arrived. In his sleep-deprived state, he thought that ... Read more
Ghost town? I think not. It doesn't even have real ghosts, like the Haunted Mansion, or Turtle Talk with Crush. Photo by Uncle Walt, used without permission.

“Open” Disney Springs a ghost town; no one is there

Serious. Like, nobody. Cast members, shoppers, looters. We weren't even there. DISNEY SPRINGS, FL -- Disney Springs announced their reopening in May, and the Internet nearly shutdown in excitement. Most assumed that the Walt Disney World shopping district (so called because you can't buy stuff anywhere else on WDW property) would be packed. Well, May 20th has come and gone, and despite initial reports from fake news sites (such as WDWNTT), no one is actually going to Disney Springs. It is empty. There ... Read more

“A shutdown miracle”: Universal’s Volcano Bay erupts during closure

"If the park had been open, who knows how many guests would have died." ORLANDO, FL -- In what some are calling "a shutdown miracle" (and to be fair, others are calling "fake news"), Volcano Bay erupted on Tuesday. The volcano is a feature of a water park at the Universal Orlando Studios, Theme Park, School of Witchcraft & Wizardry and Spa. Although it was not thought to be dormant, since it regularly belched smoke, steam and fire, park officials did not ... Read more

MCO Carousel 26 found! Exclusive to elite travelers

We uncover the elite "Club 26." ORLANDO, FL -- Last week Uncle Walt's Insider reported on the disappearance of Carousel 26 at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) baggage claim. As it turns out, in a rare case of our reporting being slightly incorrect, the missing carousel may not be missing after all. Instead of being stolen, Baggage Carousel 26 is apparently behind closed doors, accessible only to members of an elite club, possibly known as "Club 26." How did we miss that? While our ... Read more

Thieves strike Orlando Airport, steal entire baggage carousel

We noticed the missing carousel once we remembered that there is a number between 25 and 27. ORLANDO, FL -- A gang of thieves apparently have stolen Baggage Carousel 26 at the Orlando International Airport (MCO), causing widespread fear and confusion for visitors to Florida's busiest airport. The theft was reported Monday after a passenger mistakenly that their luggage would be on Carousel 26. According to sources, the unnamed passenger searched between Carousels 25 and 27 for over three hours without success. Sources estimate ... Read more
