Why? Because they’re “eeeevil.”

WALT DISNEY WORLD, FL — When Walt Disney World fully reopens in July of 2025, a number of virus-prevention requirements will be in place. But not for everyone.

Disney villains will not be required to wear masks, or practice social distancing.

Realism

“Our goal, as always, is realistic storytelling,” explains Disney (the company) spokesperson Jun Disney (no relation).

“When we saw all of the health officials telling everyone to wear a mask for the well-being of others, we thought, huh… What if some of our characters don’t care about others’ well-being? It wouldn’t exactly be in character for them to do things like that.

Sorry, Grandma

“And then the memes started, saying if you don’t want to wear a mask, you must want to kill grandma. That’s when the light bulb really went on. Our villains are all about killing grandma.”

Disney (no relation) says most characters will keep things safe.

“Expect most Disney characters to wear masks and maintain good social distancing. With the villains, not so much. In fact, some of the face characters may try to lick you or sneeze in your face. Eeeevil!”
