Extremely light crowds at Disney Parks today

A near-empty Main Street USA at Disneyland on Christmas morning.

Merry Christmas!! Have any plans for this morning? Because you might want to consider visiting Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort today, and take advantage of the lowest crowds of the year!

Family and friends

Most casual Disney fans think that Christmas Day might be crowded at the parks, because almost everyone is off work or out of school, and it’s such a festive place to be. But hardcore fans, including your knowledgeable and reliable reporters here at Uncle Walt’s Insider, know that most folks will be spending the morning opening presents, preparing Christmas dinner, or traveling to visit relatives.

While the days leading up to Christmas tend to be crowded, one of the best-kept secrets is that on Christmas Day itself, the parks are almost completely empty!

The most wonderful time of year

So bundle up the kids, grab Grandma, load up the SUV, and head to your nearest Disney park today — you won’t regret it! You’ll enjoy relaxed walks through the parks, unobstructed views, and little to no wait for even the newest attractions. For example, at press time, Avatar: Flight of Passage is showing only a 10 minute wait time! No FastPasses needed today! (And if you stay until nighttime, you can enjoy the relocated Osborne Family Lights in Pandora!)

From all of us here at Uncle Walt’s Insider, have a very Merry Christmas!
