Thursday was “Uncle Walt’s Insider” Day at the Disneyland Resort!
DISNEYLAND, CA — As Uncle Walt’s Insider writer / ink & paint person Marty finished his three-day fact-finding and totally-business-related-and-therefore-tax-deductible trip to Disneyland yesterday, he was given an incredible surprise. Yes, Disneyland honored him and Uncle Walt’s Insider, declaring yesterday to be “Uncle Walt’s Insider” Day!
Marty was made Grand Marshal of the parade, and was presented with the key to Disneyland by Mickey Mouse! (Fear not — he’s not going to leave the back door unlocked.)
Finally, the recognition we deserve
The Mayor of Main Street also read a proclamation acknowledging the contributions Uncle Walt’s has made over the past seven decades towards bringing “harmony and understanding” to Disney fans worldwide. The statement even quoted our own Uncle Walt (“There’s so much misinformation out there. We’re just doing what we can to help”) and recognized that our site fulfills his vision every day!
Congratulations to Marty and, um, us!
[Note: Because of the publishing lead time required, mainly due to the need to order extra browser ink, this article was written and scheduled before Marty left for California. We’re pretty sure this is exactly what will/would have happened, though.]
