“My vacation was ruined,” says litigious guest.

DISNEYLAND RESORT — The first of what may be many lawsuits arising from a situation first reported here last November has been filed, after one member of the park’s beloved barbershop quartet, the Dapper Dans, appeared on Main Street U.S.A. with unmatched socks.

“I normally have the green striped costume,” the anonymous baritone told Uncle Walt’s Insider, “and I put on green socks at home. But then Thursday I needed to be the blue Dapper Dan, but I didn’t bother to change the socks. I honestly did not think anyone would notice.”

Legal liability?

Although many guests complained about the color mismatch, most were mollified with extra Fastpasses or coupons for free churros. This is the first lawsuit to arise from the incident.

Our staff legal experts say that the suit will likely not go anywhere, as the terms and conditions for entry into the Disneyland Park specifically deny liability for “costume defects” of its cast members. There may, however, be grounds for compensation if their barbershop Lead were to sing a wrong note on “Coney Island Baby.”
