Seriously, what were they thinking?
UNCLE WALT’S H.Q., SVALBARD — Disney+’s original series in the Star Wars universe, The Mandalorian, has introduced pop culture to the lovable unnamed character pictured above. Referred to online as “Baby Yoda,” he has sparked endless memes and internet references.
And he’s about to die.
A preview screening copy
Your humble author was provided with an advance screening copy of Week 7’s episode of The Mandalorian, which will be released to the public tomorrow. Normally I try not to have strong opinions about anything but churros, but I cannot remain silent this time.
They absolutely should not have killed off Baby Yoda three minutes into the episode.
And it was all so pointless, too. The Mandalorian constantly tells Baby Yoda not to play with the switches on his ship but refuses to childproof it. Predictably, Baby Yoda flips the wrong switch and is electrocuted.
Just wrong
Why, Disney? Why would you kill off such a cute, lovable character? Why would you do it so heartlessly? Here’s hoping tomorrow’s episode is just a bad dream, and Mando will wake up and find Baby Yoda in the shower or something.
Oh, also — spoilers. Sorry.
