A loveable penguin named Steve is coming to the big screens in 2019.
DisneyNature has released its first glimpse into its 2019 EarthDay offering: an Antarctic adventure following the life and antics of a penguin they call “Steve.” The movie trailer for Penguins (see the link below) suggests that the movie will be lighthearted, educational, packed with beautiful scenery and fascinating animals, and will have only a few cameos by the Avengers.
Uncle Walt’s Insider reached out to its devoted fans for their response. Here is a sampling of the reactions we received:
“As a penguin-lover, I’m really looking forward to it. It’s always good to know where our food comes from.” – Roderick M., chef, Oregon
“Oh, here we go. Disney is promoting a penguin-centric worldview again.” – Carmen T., homemaker, Georgia
“How much is real, and how much is CG? I mean, they look nothing like the penguin from Bloom County.” – Mark S., meteorologist, Colorado
“At no time did I or my publicist agree to this egregious invasion of privacy. And I don’t even go by ‘Steve,’ which is my middle name.” — Vincent, penguin, Antarctica
“I don’t get it.” – Shelly V., website critic and humor judge, California
Penguins opens in theaters on Earth Day 2019.
