Like Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, and Taco Bell’s meat, the recipe for Disney’s churros is a closely-guarded trade secret.
LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL — A cast member working at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park was arrested Wednesday after trying to smuggle out the recipe for churros, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The composition of churros, a fried, sweet, cinnamon-flavored snack, has long been a closely-guarded secret, and the Disney Company takes whatever legal steps are necessary to protect it from disclosure. According to a Sheriff’s Department spokesperson, Disney Security acted on an anonymous tip and searched the unidentified employee at the end of his shift. They found a piece of paper with what appeared to the recipe copied by hand in the cast member’s handwriting. No charges have yet been filed.
