Finally there’s a button for guests who don’t qualify for one of the other buttons!

WALT DISNEY WORLD, FL & DISNEYLAND, CA — Disney Parks and Resorts and Spas announced today that a new button is joining their lineup of free celebration buttons: the “I Have a Button” button.

For years, guests at Disney parks (and resorts and spas) have been able to get a free button to announce special occasions. (The current lineup is “1st Visit,” “It’s My Birthday,” “Happily Ever After,” and “The Test Came Back Negative.”) Cast Members often go out of their way to make the day extra special for guests with a button.

“More and more people have been taking advantage of the celebration buttons,” says Disney (the company) spokesperson Jun Disney (no relation). “Lately we’ve seen over half of the guests wearing them. Of course, that is grossly unfair to people who aren’t celebrating a special day! So we figured we’d just take the next logical step and create a button for everyone who doesn’t qualify for the regular buttons.”

When everyone is special…

The new button carries the message, “I Have a Button!” beneath an image of Goofy shrugging in a field of question marks.

Since there is now a button available to each and every guest, Disney (no relation) reports, the process for acquiring the buttons is easier now as well.

“Since everyone gets a button, we’re just handing them out at the entrance. In fact, we now just put a big ol’ box of buttons at every turnstile and let people grab one as they enter.”
