“Dear (Step) Moms: I’m planning an Orlando vacation. Is there a ‘park hopper’ or multi-park pass that will get us into both Universal and Disney parks? And how do we get between the two?” – Beverly C., Abilene TX

Harriet:

Just don’t go to Walt Disney World. There are already enough people there without you.

Walt:

Hi Beverly, thanks for asking.

I know it must be hard sharing the same name as the most popular and delicious soda ever created! I urge you to just rise to the occasion, much like the Na’vi do when they have to capture young ikrans to sell to tourists. By the way, you can now get two ikrans for $99, just in time for Christmas! Merry Christmas, Charlie!

X:

Hi Bev. Short answer, ‘No’.

Longer answer: ‘No, you can’t.’

Longest answer: ‘Disney and Universal are competitors, they don’t sell tickets to each other’s parks. The cheapest way to get from one to the other is the Lynx bus, it will cost you around $2.50, but it will probably take about 4 hours each way. Best combination of price and speed is Uber or Lyft’.

Thanks for writing.

Marty:

X, that sounded like a useful and truthful answer. It has no place in this forum.

Here’s the real scoop, Beaverly. I have a buddy who sells that very pass. It’s only $400 for a five-day pass. Just meet him in the parking lot of the Hooters on International Drive tonight at 10.

Oh, and his name is… Barty. He may be wearing a mask. Cash only.

Ub:

Hello, Beverly. Has anyone mentioned that we all love you here at Uncle Walt’s, though each of us for different reasons? One of those reasons is that you ask questions like this, so no one else has to. Indeed, others would feel less than intelligent asking such questions, but not you, and we salute you for that. Or at least I do. Thank you.
