Man wanders TTC all day: park admission unused

“Where are the rides?”

WALT DISNEY WORLD, FL — Paul Notaro of Balch Springs, Texas, spent most of Thursday at Walt Disney World — but he did not enjoy it.

“So many of my friends absolutely love Disney World,” Notaro, a 34-year-old accountant, tells Uncle Walt’s Insider, “so I was curious. I was in Tampa on business and had a free day before my flight back, so I thought I’d check it out.”

Notaro purchased a one-day park admission through the Disney website and drove his rental car up Interstate 4 towards Orlando.

“I followed the signs for the Magic Kingdom, because that’s where my friends said I should go if I only had a day,” Notaro shares. “I paid for parking — $20, ouch! — parked, and then got on the tram to the entrance of the park. Went through security, no problem, and then… I was like, ‘Where are the rides?'”

Underwhelmed

Notaro apparently spent his visit at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and never continued to the Magic Kingdom.

There were some positives for Notaro. “Oh, it was clean and everyone was friendly, like my friends told me. It was kind of cool watching the monorails go by and the boats come and go. I could even see that big castle across the water — it is not as close as they make it look in the commercials. But overall, I guess I just don’t see what my friends like about the place.”

Your reporter then asked he could have Notaro’s printed park admission page, and he gladly gave it, saying “I was just going to trash it, since it’s been used. [Ed.: Heh.] I don’t want to remember that day.”
