KBF Rank Structure vs DLR

This is a simple question out of pure curiousity that requires a long explaination. I'm tying to compare the differences between Knott's employee ranking structure with that of the Disneyland Resort, since I will be starting there soon after spending a little less than a year at KBF. Below is the ra...

Getting hours/Full Time

Two questions. Firstly, how hard is it to get serious hours as a starting CR-25? And given a highly dedicated employee, how long til full time? How much do things like doing your job above and beyond come into play? Or is it all very rigidly installed time oriented seniority?

Re: Knotts

Knott's does have hiring standards. Most of the time. And for high risk departments such as Rides and Security. Not everyone gets in.

Re: Knott's Management

I used to work with a girl named Lisa and she too was ordered to do things against SOP. She refused. Violating the SOP is how people get hurt or killed. Some of those Knottt's supervisors are just plain ignorant of the rides. William and Lisa were much better, despite their faults. At least they wer...

Reflections of a Knott's Employee

My name is Alex and I remember my very first day as a ride operator at the Calico Railroad. I was walking from the Western Gate to the Rides Office to meet my trainer. Clad in full conductor uniform, I walked with a brightness that I lost later in my tour of duty at Knott's. A tired 40ish looking ma...

Re: Just a Quick Question

Thanks again. I guess my last concern is that I was told by a friend that going to Disney is like going back to high school. She claims its drama city compared to KBF, where everyone is too concerned about how crappy their job is to get any deeper than that. Who knows, I'm sure I'll find out soon en...

Re: Just a Quick Question

Thanks for the reply, I'm sure I'll fit right in. If you don't mind, I was also curious just how hard it is to make CR-25? What are your thoughts about the merchanise department? Not my first choice, but its what I have to work with for six months to certain issues.

Just a Quick Question

Hello everyone, obviously I'm somewhat new here. I recently was hired into Disneyland after spending a little over a year working as a ride operator at Knott's Berry Farm. I was wondering what the main differences are between working at Knott's and working for Disney? I suppose this would be best an...
