Re: The First Time's The Best Time

First trip to Disneyworld was June, 1980 for my senior class trip. It was amazing! Skyway, Haunted Mansion, and my favorite: If you could fly. (It was free, airconditioned, and never had a line!) First trip to Disneyland was last Monday. I'm still in awe of actually having been there. It wasn't crow...

Re: Sca Brain

Hail and well met,

I was once upon a time active in the Barony of the Middle Marches in the Midrealm.

Despite my long absence, I still have a trunk of saved garb and feasting gear and every August I dream of Pennsic.

Ah... memories.

Re: Sca Brain

Of course, to buy things at all these lovely places, it is good to be friends with Master Card and Lady Visa.

Re: We do it most of all for them...

Thank you all, Cast Members. 'Cause... well... you do it for me. I mean, I'm nothing special, just a mid 40's woman who loves the magic, but a Br'er Fox made me smile when my legs hurt so bad I couldn't move. Tigger hugged me, even though I wasn't a kid in line and didn't have a kid with me. Eeyore,...

Re: Wdw Emh

While I've never done an EMH, I have done a "hard ticket" event (MNSSHP) and I really liked the ease of just waving my wrist at the cast member as I got on an attraction. I do not believe that the cost savings will be so great as to justify all the aggravation to the cast members and guest...

Re: CityPass

So, you hate City Pass SGs.... but are the City Passes a good deal for not-SGs? :) I will be coming to Anaheim in May and I was hoping to visit Disneyland, California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm and the San Diego Wild Animal Safari, all of which are part of the City Pass. It looks like I could save...

Re: Beating up the Characters

It really makes me upset to hear of the character performers being treated this way! The costumed folks are a big part of the magic for me; it makes me feel 10 years old again. I wait in the line patiently.... I approach the character gladly... then I ask politely if I may get a picture of me with m...

Re: Giselle

I think that the OP had some issues, and probably was not happy that the SGT'ers didn't quite agree! Oh no..... I don't mind folks disagreeing with me at all! I like to read the various opinions that people have and it makes me look at my own opinions with new eyes. That said, I have to stand by my...

Re: Giselle

I'm not sure if you were joking or not, but if you weren't joking--- Giselle is apparently another attempt by Disney to have all girls under the age of 10 begging for princess dresses and all girls over the age of 10 to be dissatisfied with either 1) their looks or 2) their boyfriends. She is the st...

Re: Castle v. Castle

Both of those pictures just made the little girl inside of me go "oooooooooh!" Those decorators did nice work. And to all the people who had to crawl around castles to make it work:

:grouphug:

Thanks bunches!
