That cracked me up...it's so true!

Thanks for reminding me of students. Yes, in its own, it is a full-time job. I've been taking time off, for the "usual" reason that making money at the moment seems more important (well, me being a single mom, who wants to have her cake and eat it too; wanting to go back to school, and needing money to make ends meet ... hmm ... kinda tough there ... LOL). I do side with ALL students that argue w/ leads/managers about school. Can't work late tonight (referring to extending), because one has class in the morning. Hey, if I were a lead, I would respect that and back off right away. Whenever I'm trying to get rid of shifts, if someone says they can't take the shift because class ends at a certain time, they can't make it, hey no problem! In the same respect, professors do need to understand that some students DO have weekend jobs so they can make a little cash here and there. So, when an event comes up, that is OUTSIDE the class time (I'm assuming that LACMA is some type of class-related event), it's not your fault when you go out of your way to ask the professor to let you know something by a certain day, so you can ask for (and be more likely to get) that day off. So, I don't quite understand why the professor feel that he/she needs to get all pissed off.Stduck wrote:Actually Grumpy if you count full time college student then aye I have a day job too.... One that doesn't pay and the professors get pissed when you say but I can't go to LACMA cause work sceduled me and you didn't give me 3 weeks notice when I told you 4 weeks ago I needed to know by next week what day... But I need to the money so the holidays I am so looking forward to!!
