Expanding the Queue
Expanding the Queue
I was at Greeter at Winnie the Pooh. We had 1 switch back open. My line was starting to stick out too far into the walk way so I went to go expand the queue. I fixed it so it would at 5 minutes to the wait then cut the line and sent the rest down my newly opened queue. This guy glares at me and says "What the hell did you do that for" I polietly said "My line was sticking out into the walk way so I needed to expand the queue. It won't affect your wait in the slightest" He muttered something that sounded like bullshit. I shrugged I mean he had to walk another 10 feet? Talk about rude and lazy.

"Cuz they're at Disneyland ... and since they paid an arm and a leg per person in their party to enter the park, they shouldn't have to move anywhere they don't want to"Lilo wrote: People would look at me like I asked them to walk to Alaska and back. It's an extra 10 feet!! Why are people so freakin lazy?
I'm sure that's their mentality.
I am not saying Stupidity should be illegal or anything!! But lets just remove the warning labels from hazardous items and let the problem solve itself.Author Unknown
Yes, and if it's over crowded, they want you to give them something, and if their fave ride is closed they want you to give them something, and if the ride they wanna go on is on the other side of the park, they want something, and if they can't read the maps they want something.... It's a free world after all.... My friend, who works at Knott's told me this: "People want free stuff for being ignorant."Grumpy wrote:"Cuz they're at Disneyland ... and since they paid an arm and a leg per person in their party to enter the park, they shouldn't have to move anywhere they don't want to"Lilo wrote:People would look at me like I asked them to walk to Alaska and back. "I have a stupid question for you."
"Can I have a map?"
"Where is the restroom?"
"Do you work here?"
"Can I have a map?"
"Where is the restroom?"
"Do you work here?"

And I KNOW it gets overcrowded, especially in summer, and that is why *I* am smart enough to figure it out and never go to Disneyland in the summer again! I'll wait till school starts up again and just pull my kids out of school for the day (when I have kids, but we DO do this for my stepdaughter). It's so much more enjoyable and the weather is still nice and warm enough. I wish people would stop bitching at US when THEY chose to come to the park on a hot day in July when school is out!DLSweeper wrote:Yes, and if it's over crowded, they want you to give them something, and if their fave ride is closed they want you to give them something, and if the ride they wanna go on is on the other side of the park, they want something, and if they can't read the maps they want something.... Although, I seriously wish Disney would have some kind of cut-off ... I know we do, but it must be an incredibly high number of people being crammed into the park before they start shutting the gates ... and that sucks! Not just for guests, but for Cast Members dealing with the cranky guests also!
"Umm, is that real water? Are the ducks real too???"
On the note of people bitching when its crowded.
It must have been new years eve or right about that time. I was on the outside rotation at the Haunted Mansion for the holiday. I guest came up to me and tried to park his stroller in our Wheelchair queue. I polietly said he couldn't park there and I said "There is stroller parking down towards splash mountain" Not less then 5 minutes later he was back trying to shove the stroller in the wheelchair queue. I told him he couldn't do that. He yelled and said a man said the was no stroller parking at Splash Mountain. I said correct but there is some TOWARDS splash mountain and walked the man to the stroller parking, where there was a sign and a mountain of strollers. His wife very angrily said "When did Disneyland become about following the rules and not having fun"
Then the same lady demanded to know when it was less crowded. I told her September, Late January early Febuary. She then yelled about wanting to see the Christmas decorations another cast member piped up "If we have our Christmas decorations up it will always be crowded."
