At the time it said "S" which doesn't explain much. I'm truly am surprised, with the size of the MK and the number of guests that go through the park a day I'd think a cell would almost be a necessity.

Tying them down on small world for a few hours is worse than putting them in a cell, right?

Your neighbor's son may or may not trigger an automated alert, especially if he's aged past 18 or moved since his ban. But as others have said, one run-in with security and it's off to Candyland!

[Note: Candyland is the nickname for the Sheriff's substation and jail at the Magic Kingdom because it's upstairs from the Confectionery.]

not sure about DL, but this does not exist at WDW.

I haven't dealt with Security at MK in about five years, but at various times both Security and OCSD informed me there was a "holding cell" there at that time.

They might all have been having me on, or it may have changed since then.

At DTD for DL, there is a sub-station under the house of blues and I have heard there are a few cells.

Sorry all, but Security nor affiliated departments discuss what we have or do not have, our procedures, facilities, nor actions.

Why do you care where Security or the local PD is located?

Why would you want these and other sensitive areas to give out vital intel?

I just finished "More Mouse Tales" by David Koenig and there's a huge section on security operations at DLR.

Does DLR and WDW have "foxes" "hawks" "eagles", etc? Also, the book mentioned how people who steal under $200 and/or international tourists aren't processed... Pretty crazy.

I trust that this existed when the book was written 10 years ago, but is it accurate now?

I would not think anything written by an outsider 10 years ago is accurate. Just knowing that Disney is a fluid company constantly changing policy on all fronts leads one to believe that nothing in unofficial or official print is accurate.

Oh, we have plenty of foxes and hawks....just not the kind you may be alluding to in your question.

As always, these types of policies and procedures are non disclosure. Only people who know how these things are handled that are not in security would be those who 'play the system to see what happens'. Let us know how your fair.

I actually find this type of information my favorite to know. I am a business owner myself and like to try and apply some principles myself. In addition, I really want to go into the theme park industry at a upper management level, so every drop of knowledge could be helpful.
