Carousel Question

Post by Zazu » Sun Aug 30, 2009 11:23 pm

I've had a request from a client on my other job for information about King Arthur's Carousel at Disneyland.

Story is told that the carousel has the shields of the Knights of the Round Table on it (somewhere). Hard to say, as legends vary in number from 12 to 100 knights.

I would really appreciate it if someone could send me photos of all of the different shields on the carousel. They don't need to be high quality, just so I can see the colors and figure out what the designs are.

Naturally, this request came in the week *after* I visited Disneyland, so it may be a couple of years before I can get back there myself.

Anyway, PM me if you're can help. Much TIA!

We're actually working on a new catalog of anything and everything King Arthur's Carrousel for City Hall; I'll see what I can dig up. May be a few days, though.

A few days will be fine.

If it will help your project, I'll happily send you an article on the arms of the Knights of the Round Table we recently published. PM your mailing address for a copy.

Please let us know when the catalog update is complete. I have a list of all the horses' names but any additional information would be great.

I used to have a list of all the horses names but in my travels I have lost it...does City Hall have that info readily available?

It's looking like our new Carousel reference tool for City Hall will take longer than expected to complete - I'll keep everyone updated as soon as there's news!

Aren't the names of all K A Carousel horses correct on sites given via google?

I have an old Disney News magazine that listed all the names (but no corresponding pictures) of the carousel horses. I if I can extract it from it's hiding place,I will make a list of the names.
