I know that this thread has winded down, and I probably should have mentioned this sooner, but I'm in a "sharing my feelings" mood. ;)

I for one don't think that the new Disneyland Monorails are "ugly". Yes, they were made to look retro and sleek.
And as mentioned before, the Disneyland Monorail system was always conceived as more of a sight-seeing attraction. As evident by the fact that the beam loops around a lot within Disneyland.
Though it does function as transportation as well. :cool:

Thank you DG! Totally agree. DLR Monorails look cool & are cool. :cool: After all, they were the first. Still difficult to see a Monorail without feeling a lump in my throat & fighting tears.
