Cheshire Figment wrote:This past winter when I was working at Indiana Jones often it was necessary to "pack" the audience to be able to get in a maximum number of people for the show. One thing I found that people actually listened to was when I announced: "Don't worry if the person next to you smells bad, they think you smell just as bad!" It always got a lot of laughter as a response, and one of the managers commented that people seemed to be paying attention. and would fill in spaces.
Great minds think alike.
I use this at closing when packing them in on the bus "Please move back as far as you can, filling in all available spaces. Don't worry if you smell bad, after 3 hours in a theme park everybody smells bad."

So Rizzo isn't the only one testing deodorant strength?

The only problem with that is, that we have encountered people at the parks that have never heard of deodorant, or worse still, the people that use a half of a bottle of perfume or cologne in lieu of a shower that morning!

Must be French.
Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I was scared the last time I rode HM last month. One of the CMs was entirely too cheerful and was very scary.

Would I get my money back if I complained about the vast amount of ECG's in the park? :D:

We can't control which groups decide to come. People seem to think Gay Days is sponsored by Disney. It is not. They simply choose Disney as a venue. Working in entertainment, you get pretty used to be around it. I still remember my first Gay Days, back when I was working Fantasyland. Some girl was asking me when Tinkerbell flew. I started my response with, "well, a little fairy told me..." only to realize there was a whole group of guys in red shirts. I sort of stopped for a second and when they saw my face, they started cracking up. I was a bit embarassed, but it was all in good fun.
As others have mentioned, I have a much bigger problem with the obnoxious Brazilian tour groups who pounce on the characters and try to steal their costume pieces or take off their heads (and yes, I have seen both of these in action.)

I will be pulling my Mansion spiel out in September for the MVMNSSPWYMSAargh! (Mickey's Very Merry, Not-So-Scary Party Where You Might Say "Aargh!"... it takes away any need to remember what party is tonight). "Turn now, ladies and gentlemen, and drag your wretched corpses to the dead end of the Monorail Platform and be still."
Don't think I'll ever be able to do my Tower of Terror spiel again.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
