Stairs at TL
The stairs on either side of the lagoon are for lifeguard use if it is necessary for them to enter the wave pool. It should be fairly obvious that they cannot safely dive in from 20 feet above the water when the concrete is no more than six feet down.
All normal entry and exit is supposed to be at the beach area.
Also those stairs get wet from the waves and do not have handrails on the pool side; a Guest could slip off and really get hurt bad.

Who on here from Oregon?turkeyham wrote:BW,
At least they do not have these trams at the Enchanted Forest. I used to live in Corvallis, Oregon.
I remember reading while lurking, Big Wallaby is from Oregon also.
Is there a lot of us?

I grew up in the suburbs of southeast Portland. My family still lives in Vancouver, WA and Redmond, OR. Sure miss the mountains. We try to go home at least once a year but may not make it this summer due to too many visits to WDW!

Re: Typical Guest Behavior?
One of the times we were pulling into the guest parking lot at EPCOT, the car in front of us tried to park in the first (closest to the through road) parking place. The CM kept directing the car to go further down with more and more insistent and firm arm gestures. The driver (a man of at least 60) flipped her off and parked there anyway!
What a total and complete jerk.
One time at DHS (the stunt show, it was new at the time) the CM asked a family to move down the row so others could have a seat. They refused! The row was NOT in a bad viewing location so moving was really no issue what so ever.
I couldn't be a CM and keep my job. I just absolutely could not.

I lived in Corvallis for 14 years until I moved here to Seal Beach. The Enchanted Forest was the closest boring theme park. My dad taught at OSU teaching Electrical Engineering. My mom worked in the evening at a college near down town. We have friends and family still in Corvallis.
Our favorites are:
Going pass Albany and blaming the paper mill at Walchane. Beats the cows off of the 5 freeway.
Organ Grinder-nice pizza restaurant until they closed it.
Omzi-still like going there.
Roses-Killer sandwich shop.
Portland Zoo-noisy peacocks
Otter Crest-visiting my dad's friends who have a big beach house.
Inn at Otter Rock-Walking distance to the ocean and nice beaches.
Moe's-clam chowder over looking the Devil's Punch Bowl.
The Marine Science Center
Ice storms and missing a few days of school. I went to Jefferson elementary school, a middle school behind the Aquadic Center, walking distance to Albertson's and a few blocks for Cloverleaf Park. When I went back there for a family reunion, things did change. A few miles south on the 5, I noticed a bigger theme park and the Enchanted Forest was a few miles north. Also, when visiting my sister in Seattle, WA there was allot of dead raccoons, what's up with that? I wish to hear more from those who lived out there. :)

And on the Monorails, we use Windows 2000!Rex wrote:Microsoft calls bugs and glitches nothing more than "undocumented features" :D:
As far as Rex and me being both from Oregon, there was a good reason for that, but you would have to ask our mother. Or father. You can take your pick.
Oh, I miss Organ Grinder. Now it's a closed some-sort-of-buffet. Yes, I said closed.
OMSI is awesome. I took some of my best shots of a Hummer Limo I used to drive there.
Moe's has the BEST clam chowder ever.
And I always loved the International Rose Test Garden. Did several senior portrait sessions there. Sometimes I would just go to the ampitheater with a good book, start reading and take a nice nap in the sun... on those couple of days when you got to see the sun.
I will never forget the ice storm that started by snowing more than it ever does there, followed by the ice. So you had nice, impenetrable ice drifts. I was working at the Radisson PDX at the time, and watched as a car, which had parked on top of the ice before the owner flew out, slowly moved as the ice melted from one parking spot to another.
Good times!
Oh, and flight crews are so much fun when you are usually ten minutes away (8 the way I drove with no guests aboard) and it takes you an hour.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

igotodisneytoomuch, sorry I missed welcoming you right away. I do have a quibble with your name, though -- how can you go to Disney "too much"???
