Downtimes
Long down times at mansion are horrible cause I always get sent out front to do PR. I hate telling 500 people the same thing every 10 seconds.

These are the rafts TO the island. Not AROUND, not OVER, not UNDER and not THROUGH. Thank you for riding T. Saywer's shuttle service please visit again.

Welcome aboard! When's your training and do you know who your trainer is? I love all the Mansion trainers. You'll probably learn the most from Roger, Serey was my trainer she goes quickly but will explain more if you need it. I've never seen Robbie, Jason or Kristina train but I like them all as ROs. As far as leads go our A-lead Gavon is awesome. Gerry can be a pain and play favorites as can Ed. Betsy and Steve are both GC leads in addition to being Mansion leads, you'll see them outside most of the season. Dennis is a parade lead (yes the infamous scavenger hunts) but he also is a Mansion lead.
That's all I can think of. Scream and PrincessCinderAlly are also Mansion ROs. Both awesome people. You'll run into me eventually look for me at end of line outside (I'm always outside doing GC when Steve is the GC lead, and usually at end of line)

GC is guest control, and RO's are regular operators, as in Leads or trainers that aren't being lead, or training anyone, or they are just that, RO's they don't have any special status as far as operation goes. Stduck went right into the terminology there, i didn't want it to scare you off... *shoots look at duck, while using proper action marks (inside joke)*Stduck wrote:Welcome aboard! And welcome to the team, you'll find me at indy, and very not so often at Steam Trains, and you'll more than likely work Fantasmic! with me, because i do so love that show, as well as working it's GC, you'll have to figure out who i am though. Did you have anyone from adventure/frontier in your group, they better not be sending anyone to jungle before me.
Gimme some soft serve!

I figured that if there were any questions they would be asked. I use the terminology because how else do you learn it. You're the only one who should be scared....

yes well. not much that can be done now...
back to down times, so as if it weren't confusing enough on what to do during a downtime at indy, even though it's still suprisingly easy, we've gone and made it more exciting than before. So we now have recoverable Auto-ride stops, meaning if we get a ride stop, due to a zone time out, we don't evac, right away, the north advance CM goes up to tower, locks out and waits for facilities to arrive, if facilities take more than 15 min we evac, if they get there faster than than north advance and facilities go into the attraction to the problem, if facilities says yeah, less than 15 minutes, we don't evac, but NA sticaks around to reset the vehicle, and calm guests and stuff, also NA times facilities, if it takes more than 15 minutes, they call tower and say hey we're outta time, i'm comming back to get the evac team(s), and we do that, other wise we fix it go back, do a ride start, moake sure nobody else times out, bring it into show conditions, if we get a zone time out, we evac b/c by then it's been a long time, and everyone on the attraction gets to ride a second time.

LOL I actually didn't have too many questions about the terminology, you see DL attractions is my 3rd job for the Disneyland Resort. I've pretty much got the hang of things by now, but am very excited to be working at the Mansion.
My training is the 30th, 6am-2pm, the 31st, 5:30am - 2pm, and November 6th, 8am - 12pm. I'm getting trained by Robbie.

Thats rather interesting. Does Indy still experience 101's due to oil spills? I was there one day and we were down for 6 1/2 hours because of an oil spill from one of the jeeps. That was fun.GMC wrote:back to down times, so as if it weren't confusing enough on what to do during a downtime at indy, even though it's still suprisingly easy, we've gone and made it more exciting than before.
