Actually, the numbers I've heard are over 60,000 CMs at WDW.
I'm glad they are making the cuts there instead of the front line CMs.
They've already started to cut the front line CMs the main ways they do so. They don't lay off front line CMs unless they really have to, they kill the hours of the seasonal cast members and they froze hiring a good while back. The only new CMs coming in are CPs and ICPs.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…

Can't pay the payroll, but want to buy more parks. Hmmmmm.
Two different buckets of money. Buying a property offers tax incentives, depreciation, write offs, etc.

There are a number of hidden expenses to any company regarding payroll. Medical benefits (if any), the different payroll taxes, etc. Basically, whatever an employee is grossing, double it. That's known as fully burdened cost.

Executives for the press is a catch all term. They will use it to cover anyone in a management position at all levels within a company.

You of all people should know the answer to that question....

i mean come on, look how many managers they have to run Africa ops alone at any given time their is 6 managers on duty with one being used as duty manager. do we really need Kilimanjaro 12 and 13 to run KSR, Africa # and # to run the forest walk, the rail road, and the village ( which is something K13 does anyway ), and a manager to run the RPW... I mean come on...

I mean on top of their being 2 on duty managers on at a time, they have 3 to 4 coordinators on just for KSR... Its not that labor intensive.... I could map out the need for one on duty manager and 3 coordinators at the most for KSR

DOnt get me started on the other areas of the company......

Depending on the situation, they may retain their RFT seniority for scheduling purposes, as well.
Section 21, Subsection B.3. of the Master Services Agreement
A Casual Regular employee who has been converted to Regular Full-Time, as in subsection B.2., preceding, may in lieu of layoff accept Casual Regular employment with retention of his or her Regular Full-Time rate and seniority date for the purpose of reclaiming a Regular Full-Time position. Regular Full-Time employees who have held such position for six (6) months or longer and elect to accept Casual Regular employment in lieu of layoff shall have precedence over those employees having a Casual Regular seniority date. Regular Full-Time employees who have held such position for less than six (6) months and elect to accept Casual Regular employment in lieu of layoff shall utilize their previously held Casual Regular seniority date for scheduling purposes.

If they tried cutting staff at Knott's, they'd have to shut the park. Of course, as poorly run that place is, closing it would just be the inevitable. Face it, if it's a luxury, like entertainment, it's gonna be cut.
