Congrats on your 10 year anniversary Zazu!
I now have 15 years in with the City and am waiting to hear what will happen. The City has said that there will be layoffs and I'm not sure if I am protected where I am or not. There is only a grand total of 6 A/V techs in the whole city. (2 at City Hall and 4 at the Convention Facilities, where I am.)

At least they waited until I got my ten-year pin first. Yup, 19 January marked ten years with the Mouse.

What I do not understand about all this is...since Disney is hurting enough to offer buyouts for the execs, why are they offering to buy SeaWorld?

Can't pay the payroll, but want to buy more parks. Hmmmmm.

The question I really have is why do we need so many executives that we can get rid of 600 of them, and apparently still have enough left to run the place? And how many are there?

Are they? I haven't heard this. Got a link to a news story or anything?

Heard tonight D L is laying off 91 execs. 300 @ WDW, the rest are from Burbank & Glendale.

They are too busy running around trying to look important while sweating you on the mundane BS and selling you out. About time some of the useless retards in management got the axe

Well, WDW alone has 55,000 employees If you factor in the rest of the company, 600 execs isn't that many. Though, still a few unnecessary layers of management.

I'm glad they are making the cuts there instead of the front line CMs.
