The driver keeps saying "move all the way back!" and people will stop at the backdoors instead of moving to the very back of the bus. It seems to not happen quite so much now that they've changed the type of bus they generally run back there. The ones they use now have a slope to get to the very back while the other buses had steps. It's like the people were afraid to climb the steps or something. The number of times I've had to call out "move all the way back, people are still trying to get on!". The sooner they move all the way back the sooner the bus will be full and the sooner it can leave.
OH MY GOD! I HATE THAT! I HATE THAT SO MUCH! I've yet to see it at WDW, but it happens ALL the time here in Rhode Island. People just seem to have this fear about standing at the back of the bus

Well good job, honestly. I always love the considerate family who will sit their smaller kids on their laps so another person can have a seat.

This thread reminds me of something my sister-in-law kept saying that drove me nuts. We took her and her family to WDW with us in November 2007. Being DVC members, we were staying at VWL. SIL decided to stay 3 extra days with her immediate family, and told me she booked the "Pop Culture" resort. I said, "oh, you mean Pop Century"? She insisted it was Pop Culture. Whatever. I've only been to WDW at least 30 times in the past 23 years, plus was a CM recently.

Fast forward to our trip and we're walking to the WL bus after leaving AK. SIL and her husband have a confused look on their faces, and I can hear them wondering aloud to each other why there are no buses listed for Pop Culture. ARgghhhh!!!

Oh yeah, then there's my other SIL who insists on calling VWL, Fort Wilderness Lodge. I don't know why, but it just drives me bonkers. ;)

And like you said, a lot of people are not like us that do research on vacations BEFORE we go, so to them, she is encompassing ALL the parks under the WDW tag, so as to not confuse the masses of potential SG's that will go, and be suprised that they have to stand in line, or the heat, or...and so on!!
This is in reference to my statement about Samantha Brown yelling out that she was going to WDW when she was on a boat headed toward MK. Technically she was completely wrong. She couldn't be GOING to WDW when she was already there. She was going to MK. It was an error that when seen by millions of people justify the use of WDW in place of MK. Granted it's not the end of the world but it would be nice to be accurate.

Hmm, much like the athletes are wrong when after acheiving some goal or game, say to the camera "'i'm going to Disney World" And NOT saying Walt Disney World? I think its kind of a very minor difference, and after all, the Samantha Brown shows are pretty much one long commercial.

Besides, if you nitpick her show, you can find a LOT of minor errors.

Heck, I remember watching one where she talked about restaurants, and she said that you could be seated after a short wait. (she was standing in front of the Canada pavillion)

And so on..

I thought you have to make reservations before you go on vacation out there. Good luck with short meal lines at world Showcase!! ;)

yeah, I usually make that about 6 months out for the few places that we want to dine. It changes every year. Its gotten that bad. I remember when we first started going, we could just make them when we arrived at the hotel, a few days or so in advance. That ended!

You do not need any reservations at WDW but most of the time the best table service restaurants are booked months in advance so you will end up eating from counter service or going early to a restaurant during off season and hoping to get in. Back in 1998 I never needed a reservation, lol. The good old days.

Come on...your forcing me to say bad things about my future wife. Samantha can say that she is "here at Disney Universal Warner Brothers Studios if she likes and I will just shake my head and think...poor Sam, she needs me to help keep her thinking clearly. Anyway that said, I was watching her "weekend getaway series a few days ago and she was visiting her home town of Portsmouth, NH. She was pointing out some of her favorite places there. One was a hot dog emporium and the other was Nubble Lighthouse. Both of these are firmly located in Maine but she never once mentioned that and by doing so implied that they were in NH.

I, of course, was able to forgive her because, like I said, someday she will be my wife. I am slightly disappointed that the actual facts were not put out there and even though her Disney shows are huge commercials they still should be kept accurate.

See how cleverly I brought this back on topic. How could she not love me?

Hmm, how does her husband feel about your courtship of her?

hehehehehe

One of her shows is what prompted us to decide to take a trip to Ireland.
