LACMA is the Los Angeles County Museum of art. I actually made the field trip with my Painting class. Biggest waste of 10 bucks....grumble. Yeah I once convinced the GSM Trevor not to pull me to Mansion and extend me cause I had class at 9am the next morning during Spring Break stuff. After he interigated me about working 5 days...

I had a hard time during spring break and gradnites!

Granted that I'm not in school right now; my cell phone honestly saved my life on many occasions!

Spring break: Ok, store ops. closers stay 2 hours after park closes (can't speak for other departments), so when the park closes at 12a most store ops are off at 2 (w/ the exception of Main Street). My regular job, however, is down the street from the Staples Center in downtown LA (I work in armored transportation; all the LA branches for AT Systems, Dunbar, Loomis, and Brinks are within less than 2-3 miles of each other). Of course, many of you know that AM traffic starts way before 8:00. I have to leave Anaheim; before 6am, make it to the 5-605 Interchange by 620 to know that I will pretty much make it to work on time at 7:00. Well, getting off at 2am, getting to sleep after 3 (or if I shower when I wake up, I wake up before 5), and getting up at 515-530 (given that I took a shower before I took a nap), to fight LA traffic, work from 7-330, fight LA traffic BACK to OC to be back at DLR by as early as 630p and as late as 9p.

Gradnite: Get to work in LA at 7:00 (day starts at about 530am), work all day; do a gradnite shift from 1030p-530a, book it straight to LA to do it all over again, and possibly another gradnite, go to work the next day. It does get really scary when virtually nothing keeps you awake, and your mind starts playing some poltergeist-tricks on you!

Worst part about it, is when some leads ACT like they're sympathizing with you. Look, if you really don't give a flying rat's @$$, then don't say anything at all!

Funny thing is, I KNOW I'm not the only one out there that has these occasional tough battles between their own body-health, and their work.

I'm not whining or ranting, I know many of us CMs have full time school, a full time job, another part time job, kid(s) to take care of, some of us also have a spouse. Nothing against anyone, but I can't stand when someone tries their little "sucks to be me" act all the damn time. Yeah, I rant every now and then on how it GENERALLY SUCKS when I'm tired and cranky; but still doing the stuff I need to do. But some people that "Ohh.. no one has it as bad as me with (school, another job, kids, spouse, parents, etc).

Stduck; I feel your pain about GSM managers interrogating you about your PERSONAL schedule (personal meaning anything outside of the Disney ETRS system, LOL).

I am not saying Stupidity should be illegal or anything!! But lets just remove the warning labels from hazardous items and let the problem solve itself.Author Unknown

Thanks Grumpy, it was kinda my fault only in the sense that I went to scheduling to see if I could get pulled from Fantasmic! to Mansion on that Friday and the GSM kind of came down on me. I looked at him in the eye and said "I wasn't planning on staying past my off time I have class at 9am tomorrow, I cannot work tomorrow because I have class till 8pm. And yes I am working 5 days this week."

Trevor is sometimes River 1 if your ever up in the Critter Country/Advenureland office you've probably seen him. Dark brown hair, darker skin. He's ok..I like my GSM better Dave! (yes the Disney Dave who used to do Cast TV)

you can keep him, he used to be steam trains manager, and people well, hated him, i've never met him, but i'm glad he's gone, because if he was around everyone would still be bitching about him. and he's not the manger i'm thinking of, unless he's a skinny guy with glasses (or at least should have glasses) and short hair. I'm not a Critter CM, and don't really know alot about the area, just enough where if the land lock were to lift, i'd be ok.

PS there was talk about lifting the lock to accomdate everyone that's going to be needing new attractions during the adventure rehab ( i think it was just for west side) and if i does happen it'll be after the rehab (managment decided not the lift it.) however like i said, it's a possibility that it could be lifted, but it probly won't happen. i want it to though so i can work on the big boats.

High Five for Dave! He is the BEST :!: Met me for lunch (without even knowing me), set up special interview, & even wrote a letter of recommendation. Dave has done so much for our family. Wish I'd see more of him around. Disney Dave totally rocks

bryan sounds right, i think i recall that from the nametag too. i'm sad managers are going to shuffle agian, now that everyone that was on summer assignment is no longer on summer assignment. i feel bad for alot of the main gateand city hall leads, i guess what happened was that all thier leads went on temp manager assignments, and now they're back to being leads, so all the new leads are regular
