Where do you get the banana powder from? I have never heard of it. All I know they sell dry ice in the super markets and it can be deadly used the wrong way. Home made M-80's.
I don't think its available!

If you are or know an amateur chemist--or a professional with a lot of time on their hands--I suppose you could replicate it.

Would Dry Ice be good for sending chocolate in the mail, or would I blow up something?

Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. It won't hurt anything. Check with the shipper in advance for any restrictions. FedEx will ship it as a friend sent me a rib dinner for eight from Texas.

Dry ice was used when my sister shipped frozen fish from Alaska. I know it keeps food rock hard. Have you tried biting into the ice cream at Disneyland? I tell you, you have to let it melt for about 20 minutes before you bite into it. Other wise you can break a tooth on their ice cream bars.

The "wrong way" here is to put the dry ice in an airtight container. When the frozen CO2 sublimates and expands it puts pressure on the container. If the container's not airtight then the gas has a place to go safely. If the container is airtight, the gas just builds until the container bursts. This is only fun when watching it on Mythbusters as it is quite destructive. Geeze, am I giving 'terrorist' lessons here?

Today while food shopping, this lady bought some dry ice. She was given a medium chunk and complained she needed more. This stuff was double bagged in plastic veggie bags. Is there a certain limit that is sold?
