Why do people have to trespass in roped-off areas??

Alright, late last night I was around the new Pixie Hollow area in Disneyland. Of course, it being late at night (and since its not officially opened yet) the area was roped off, and yet, I saw several people go under/over the ropes like nobody's business and were roaming around the area, and some had even unfastened the ropes of the meet and greet exit to get pictures.

Why don't people have any respect?? The area was closed, and yet they went in anyway as if it was their right.

This is a matter of principal more than anything else. If an area is roped off, you are not supposed to go into it.

Why can't people be respectful of the rules?

I swear, I am losing more and more faith in the human race each day.

I know times are tough, but geez, people, if you can't afford to pay the price to come to the park, then STAY THE HECK HOME!!! Don't call me after you were an idiot and bought tickets off ebay or craigslist-- and then want to know if the ticket is VALID. Sorry, you're an idiot. The ticket states that they are NOT TRANSFERABLE, and no matter what that seller told you, if we ask you for information about that ticket, and you don't know the answer, we WILL take that ticket from you, and you will be telling your daugher/son that "that mean lady won't let you in to Disneyland." And while your kid starts screaming at me and crying, I'll come right back and say "if you weren't such a cheap ass, your kid would be in Disneyland already."

And no, I will not sign you into the park, 1) cause I don't know you; and 2) because I'm afraid you'll be an idiot.

It's gotten to the point where I'm AFRAID to sign people in the park that I'm not sure of. My friend actually had to sign in her family and some friends of her husband's, and the kid of the friends ended up shoplifting and Anaheim PD was called so that the park could press charges! My friend got in all kinds of trouble for that one!!

That sucks. You are responsible for the people you sign in. They do something stupid, you get in trouble. You can't seem to trust people nowadays.

Yeah, when I worked at Knott's, when I was scheduled to work on the train and there was a concert, etc., and we had to do crowd control--UGH! People are so stupid these days! You try to tell them to please stay in the lines, they laugh at you and say you take your job too seriously. We train conductors hated doing crowd control. I know what you mean, I'm in line with ya.

I have seen SG let their little kids wonder under the chains in Town Square. They let them go up the the flay poles messing with the ropes. Sorry folks, you should be the ones kicked in the rear. Monkeys see monkey do.

It is the same way for Fantasmic! These SG will climb on the railings and into the renced in areas. Get out of there. This is not a safe area for you to be in. If you are warned by cast members, you will obey them. If you do not, Anahiem PD will see that you do so. If you do ignore the warning and you fall on the railing face first, consider yourself as a short listener and a major SG. :twisted:

I think back to when I have gone under a rope. I just wanted a quick photograph, just go get something that fell into the off limit area, or take a short cut. I never saw it as dangerous. People do not see danger and what harm is there when the kids are playing in a meet-&-greet area or with the flags. They do not seem to see ropes as a no tresspassing sign.

Ask people and you probably will hear how they did not know it was off limits.
I confess that I have gone past a rope or chain.

The security fences at MK need to be a foot taller. Today it was a man in his late 60's at youngest going over it. When I told him not to (before he started) he thanked me and proceeded to do it. I find that I really annoy people when they do that because I follow them and repeat myself until I am satisfied that they are exasperated with me and maybe a little embarrassed by the looks people are giving them. Then there's that time Security saw me doing that to some people and took over.

This happens on a daily basis in DCA at the HPB backdrop near the Hyperion Theater. SGs would go under or over the velvet rope to take photo. For those who don't know, the street is sloped to make it longer then the street really is. I just wanted to yell at them and smack them in the head to going somewhere there isn't suppose to me.

Actually, a friend of mine yelled at a kid to get out of the planters at the Hub. That was AWESOME!!
