Re: Fantasmic in 2009?
My GF loves character dining (ok, so do I, lol). When we go in Dec/Jan we're doing LTT (before the characters leave), Garden Grill, Chef Mickey's, and Crystal Palace. If they removed all the character dining, I'm not sure the food at any of those is worth the price. (Actually, this will be my first Chef Mickey's, so dunno about the food there.) Let's be honest, Disney food is good, but the buffet food is not worth $30. :) Paying for entertainment, so if you take entertainment away... it would be like one of those 'Medieval Times' restaurants without the knights and fighting.
Where does management keep their heads?

Oh, it was definitely a rhetorical. :) I'm well aware of the doctors needing colonocopes to check on an MBA's sinus problem.Elena (aka: Bubble Lady) wrote:do you really want us to answer that question? ![]()

You know you are an MBA when....
You believe you never have any problems in your life, just 'issues' and 'improvement opportunities.'
You start to feel sorry for Dilbert's boss.
Management Lesson
A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy." "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients."
The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree.
The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.
Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.
Lesson learned:
Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Just sad that these decisions are the ones that affect the lives of everyone who does actual work.
I have a hunch that revenues from character dining goes into a "Dining" budget, and expenses from the characters there go into the "Entertainment" budget. Entertainment manager gets told to cut his budget... and does so. Shame nobody was thinking about the big picture.
