Actually there have been three "major" Dreamfinders and about a dozen temporary substitutes.

Joe Hudgins, who retired a few years ago from the Dapper Dans (he was the short one) was the original Dreamfinder, and to an extent the Character was modeled on him. He did everything pre-opening but was never at the attraction itself.

Ron actually did two things. When Chuck McCann left in a huff, Ron was able to fill in for him as the voice of Dreamfinder for part the attraction so they did not have to re-record everything. He was also the first walk-around Dreamfinder once the attraction opened, and had the job for about three years. For a while he did things outside the company (such as Titanic) but has been one (or more) of the voices at MILF since soft opening.

And then there was Steve, who had the position for about 15½ years. At the start he and Ron worked together, but then Steve was the primary. He has done some occasional work for Disney since they closed the attraction almost ten years ago, as well as at other area parks, but is currently employed outside of the entertainment field.

The other dozen may have worked for various times when Steve was on vacation, or weekends, etc., but Steve was the one who really defined the walk around Dreamfinder.

Friends of Figment, which did a lot of work to bring back Figment (see the tribute to our group in the attraction) has been working with Imagineering and Kodak to find a way to bring Steve back as Dreamfinder, and he really would like that as opposed to his current employment. And if anyone heard (about) the question to Mikey about Dreamfinder at the 2005 shareholders meeting that was me. (And I can provide a copy of the script of my question and a transcript of Mikey's response if requested. I can also provide an audio file from the broadcast of the meeting. Keep your cameras rolling, folks. Almost everything that happens on Disney property gets recorded by someone's camera. If you have one along and see a character get attacked, it's time to start taking video or pictures, anything you can to protect the characters, or any other Cast Member they might attack.

believe me, i don't carry a digital camera with me just to take pictures of the scenery.

If I was to run amok, spit on people, beat up characters and be rude Disney will comp my meals and treat me like Disney royalty.

why, of course! just as i could bring spray paint and put things not suitable for children on the walls of attractions. what do you guys want, Possessed Mickey, or Dead Mickey? i'm leaning more towards Dead Mickey, myself. i could put him on Haunted Mansion, Mission: Space, ToT, and maybe Expedition Everest. just wondering though, would brains falling out of his head be too much? ;)

I suppose I'm asking the wrong group of people here but...why would anyone want to punch a character?

i really have no idea. i used to be scared of most of the non-'real' ones, but i never even thought about punching them. i was more focused with "NO, DO NOT WANT!".

Lately when I visit Disneyland and DCA, I have been watching the stupid guests try to get free refils on popcorn and the slushy drinks. To my knowledge, you do have to buy a drink to refill cand pour it in.

Now today, while waiting for my sister to come off the Mark Twain with her daughter, I did see a stupid guest asking for ice off a beverage cart. The stupid guest was a royal idiot. I seriously go to a restaurant and ask for a cup of ice. Who knows where that ice has seriously been. That same idiot threw his garbage on the cart and let me tell you that cast member did not take it to well. If it is hot, you sure are not going to get a glass of ice off a beverage cart. That's just sick.

Someone once wrote "Mickey is a Puerto Rican" on the wall of the Stand By Que at Soarin'. It was there for weeks. I called it in every time I opened, but it was always there the next time. I couldn't believe how lazy they were.

You know, I'm honestly curious of what would happen if guest would start taking pictures of this type of behavior and posting them online. Maybe perhaps then management will care.

It boils me when my character get mistreated and I won't stand up for that shit. This week I have had several incidents with this and I'm no longer chasing after the families to call them out for it. I have started doing it very loudly on set so everyone listens. If you want to be funny in front of everyone, then I'm going to call you in for it right in front of everyone too.

It irks me to no end that calling management for this type of stuff is like waiting for pigs to fly. Then if they do come, they then end up rewarding this people! Are you freaking kidding me?! Back me the hell up. This is like giving candy to a child after he's thrown a temper tantrum. You're not helping the problem you are actually making it worse. I was actually shocked last week when a manager fully back me up in front of a very rude SG. Words are not enough to express my gratitude over that and I let him know.

it is just sad how today's society thinks. these younger parents and kids feel a sense of entitlement. that they should get things handed to them no matter what. they expect to be rewarded for bad behavior, they intimidate people and persist until they get a satisfactory response - a free meal , free admission, etc. disney will always be on top and they do not need people behaving like that in front of other decent people. those people should've been booted from the park for lewd, loud and obnoxious behavior, by rewarding them, you can be sure they'll do it again and again.

It's called negative reenforcement. Somebody shows up late for a meeting and you wait to start. They'll always show up late because they know you'll wait.

Same thing applies with bad behavior.
