Just to be thorough, there is also an "off road" Segway tour of Ft Wilderness. This is the newest Segway tour.

BTW I first heard of this tour when it was a trial tour but it booked up so quick that last I heard it was well on its way to becoming permanent and may even expand into more days per week.

Sounds awesome! Unfortunately, we had two kids (10&7), most of the tours have an age limit of 16. I wouldn't feel good about locking them in our room while Mummy and Daddy went off for a tour! LOL But, being Disney, they'd probably be perfectly safe!

I really wish the backstage Safari was open to younger ages. My son (AKA Dr. Doolittle) would LOVE it! We still haven't even told them we are going to WDW! Can't believe I've been able to keep it too myself, when I am so excited. They think we are just going to FLA for a CHEERLEADING competition..yes CHEERLEADING! LOL...don't worry CMs, it's in Jacksonville! (My daughter's been doing competitive cheering since she was 7. This season has taken us to Ft. Lauderdale in January, Dallas in February, and now Jacksonville. Amongst the many other more local comps up north.)

Our kids are going to FREAK when they realize we are not going to the airport, but rather making the 2ish hour commute to WDW. We are staying at the new Animal Kingdom Villas! My son will LOVE seeing the animals outside his window! So will his Mummy ;)

The Family Magic Tour at Magic Kingdom allows kids and they would probably have a blast.

We got to stay at the AKV in December and it's absolutely beautiful. If they enjoy swimming, I bet you'll have a hard time keeping them out of the pool there.

Anyway, I am sooo appreciative of all of your suggestions. I think we will do one of tours. The Backstage Safari has always appealed to me...being such and animal lover. I had never heard of the "EPCOT Segway Tour" before this thread, so I will also have to look into that.

Ooh, ooh, another animal lover! I want to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge next trip after this one coming up, but I would HAVE to have a view of the savannah so I could see the animals. I would take the sunrise and sunset tours as well that are offered to the concierge guests.
The Backstage Safari has a tour of the vet hospital and all the places they prepare food and you do get to pet a Rhino! It is so cool!!!!!!!! I love that tour and will take it EVERY trip to WDW! Paul is the best guide for that tour!
And of course Big Wallaby is just a hop (!) skip and jump away at the Safari! YIPPEE!!!!!!

They are now offering "concierge" level for the DVC at this resort, however, I couldn't be guaranteed a savannah view room (50% do, 50%don't--first come first serve, and we aren't checking in until late evening)...which I HAD to have. Soooo, we opted for the guaranteed savannah view instead. Would have really liked one of the sunrise/sunset tours. They sound fab.

I am fairly certain the entire state of Florida will be hearing them scream with delight! Can't wait...it's definitely gonna be a cam-cord moment! ;)

An added note, by accident, we took the 9:30 A.M. tour on the Segways, (yeah, we slept in!!!) the last one of the morning. It turns out that it is one of the better ones, as you are not in a rush to get back and turn in the Segways for the next group!

Then you could write a review of both trips, and deduct it as research!!!

I will be returning to WDW in Sept for vacation. We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Does anyone know where are the best places for meals? I went to WDW last Sept with my noe ex-fiance and one of my friend's from high school. my fiance was a dork and I dumped him because of bad behavior. I was wondering if any cast members who drive the transportation buses, there was a good bus driver by the name of "AL". He drove from the Pop Century to MK and Downtown Disney. He was a cool driver. ;)
