Looking 'insider's' suggestions
First, let me start by thanking any/all of the CMs who have made our past visits to WDW so fab and memorable. You are why we keep coming back! Thanks! :)
We are taking our bazillionth trip to the Magical world we love so much. I wondered if any of you CMs have any suggestions for someone like myself, who feels like they've seen it all...but most likely have not. What restaurants do you especially enjoy eating at, what attractions should we NOT miss...shows...yada yada yada...
As it is, we have 'priority seating' for Spoodles, Hoop-Dee-Doo (it hasn't changed since I was a kid, but we still love it!), the San Angel Inn and Narcoosees...trying to eat where we think we'll be going that night.
We have our whole stay mapped out already, but would love an insider's view of what is a "MUST-DO".
Thanks! We are staying at the new Animal Kingdom Villas, and will be there from 3/16 until the 21st. ;)

Re: Looking 'insider's' suggestions
You're very welcome. Glad to have someone else who appreciates the magic. As for the suggestions I have plenty!!!
Some of my favorite restaurants include
Sci-Fi Dine-In at DHS
Coral Reef at Epcot
Garden Grill at Epcot
Liberty Tree at MK
As for attractions, try ones you haven't done before.
Don't miss Living With the Land!!! That is the one attraction that receives the most money every year because of its partnership with the USDA.
Universe of Energy is fun, cool, dark, and there is never a wait. It's a great place to rest your feet!
Maelstrom in Norway is also a fun ride that also introduces you to the culture of Norway.
As for rides you have done that I suggest not missing
Soarin'
all of the Mountains
Great Movie Ride
MuppetVision
Dinosaur
Spaceship Earth (especially the newly updated version)
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Tower of Terror
Star Tours
Remember the old Disney rule "If everyone goes right, go left" usually you'll end up with a much shorter wait. Use your fastpasses wisely and most of all pack some patience! You are no newbie an you know how one out of control temper can ruin everyone's day. Have fun!!!

Sorry, but I had to move this thread to the Breakroom. It wasn't appropriate for the WDW Stupid Guests forum because the OP is asking a *very* non-stupid question.

Re: Looking 'insider's' suggestions
having been to WDW and DLR a number of times, DW and I totally enjoyed the Behind the magic tour, lasted almost 7 1/2 hours, took us behind stage, and really made our visits much more enjoyable. DW loved the costume department, as she makes wearable art and competes in contests like that. Plus seeing HOW they create the magic is really impressive! (it included lunch at Mama Rosas!!!)
Also a fun tour is the Around the world. You get to learn how, and ride Segways around the World before it opens!! Well worth it!!!

Hi All,
Thanks so much for your input...you know, in all the visits we've made, we've never done ANY of the tours, and always wanted to. Mostly, b/c of our kids' ages.
They are older now, will look into them! ;)

We are doing the Magic Kingdom tour, as well as the Back Stage Safari at DAK tour. We have done the BackStage Safari tour before and it is GREAT!!!!! I would highly recommend this tour.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:having been to WDW and DLR a number of times, DW and I totally enjoyed the Behind the magic tour, lasted almost 7 1/2 hours, took us behind stage, and really made our visits much more enjoyable. I want to do the Behind the Magic tour, but I think we have to wait til the next trip after this next one. We have so many ressies and plans now, the trip is set. We'll see, we may be able to sneak it in. It comes already paid for with our pkg!
We love to tour the Resorts, just to see what the other resorts look like and what their little stores have (any different pins! than I already have found!:rolleyes :) . That is always fun to check out, the resorts!
Ask Zazu about his Misguided Tour. He will take you on his very own variation of a Magic Kingdom tour! I want to do that as well.

Re: Looking 'insider's' suggestions
To be totally honest, I saw the title of this thread and thought, "Oh, great, here we go. A SG has broken in and wants us to give information that we just can't." Thank you so much for proving me wrong.
I would say to do things like pulling the rope outside Indy at Studios, all that stuff... etc.
But the Backstage Safari, Grand Gatherings, Steam Train Tour, Keys to the Kingdom, Epcot Segway tour... these are all things that will cost extra money, but they are also geared toward groups like yours that have been here many times. I also suggest spending time enjoying the streetmosphere performers, and of course an entire evening at Adventurer's Club.
There are my picks. Oh, and make sure you go on the Safari again, with me. I'll PM you my info so you know for whom to ask. And then I suggest some other drivers to ride the safari with as well.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I sure am glad I proved you wrong! Wouldn't want to mess up so early! LOLBig Wallaby wrote:To be totally honest, I saw the title of this thread and thought, "Oh, great, here we go. A SG has broken in and wants us to give information that we just can't." Thank you so much for proving me wrong.

Anyway, I am sooo appreciative of all of your suggestions. I think we will do one of tours. The Backstage Safari has always appealed to me...being such and animal lover. I had never heard of the "EPCOT Segway Tour" before this thread, so I will also have to look into that.
See you in a week!
Can't wait!!!!!! ;)

Re: Looking 'insider's' suggestions
We, too, have done the Backstage Safari tour and really enjoyed it. Where else would you get the chance to pet a rhino?
The Keys to the Kingdom tour was also great. DH did the Segway tour at Epcot and loved it. They also have one at Fort Wilderness, or is it Wilderness Lodge? Whatever.

Just to be thorough, there is also an "off road" Segway tour of Ft Wilderness. This is the newest Segway tour.BIG_Dizfan wrote:I sure am glad I proved you wrong! Wouldn't want to mess up so early! LOL

BTW I first heard of this tour when it was a trial tour but it booked up so quick that last I heard it was well on its way to becoming permanent and may even expand into more days per week.
