You KNOW I couldn't let this pass without my inventive side taking over. I have seen cup holders in lawn and garden shops (or depts) that clip onto the tubular frame of lawn furniture. Something like this could potentially clip to the front of the arm rest support frame. And if the clip is not strong enough for the "super gigantic gulp" you can add some cable ties to reinforce the clip (but be sure to bring a small pair of wire cutters to remove it at the end of the day).
Or if you want to make your own. Buy one of the big plastic souvenier tubs of popcorn, drill two holes and attach two "broom rack" clips (available at many hardware stores). Actually if you get two you could use one for a drink, and one for a tub of popcorn. :D:

When I was outfitting our vehicles with GPS and other devices, I found this stuff.

With the componets, you can create just about anything. They have all sorts of gymbaled cup holders, and quick release clamps!
Downside: kind of pricey!!

Ok, where are the scans to let me help? Or am I going to have to go over to the GSB tomorrow and figure out how to get in there to bug you in person?

One of my fellow team members has the paperwork and he "forgot" to bring it in to me yesterday, so he's supposed to bring it today.

I started off alone and went and spent a few hours in the park yesterday until one of my other team members could show up and together we found about 40 of the 98 that we had to find. They did find some awfully obscure things to take pictures of, I can tell you that much!! I figure I'll go and spend some more time at the park today and see if I can't find more. I'm sort of limited right now since I sprained my ankle, and they don't want me to walk too much. Cruising the parks in a wheelchair ain't all it's cracked up to be, especially when you have to shove yourself, hold on to your purse, hold the scavenger hunt sheets AND look for everything!! I have decided though, that the regular wheelchairs need cupholders!!! :D:
Tell them your ideas for the wheelchair! They sound good! Coming from a CM they may take your ideas to heart! We need cup holders. You are right! Wheeling round the Parks is a little difficult. Those chairs ain't the sturdiest of things!
Hope to see the scans soon! I hope I can help...on the spot... eek...want pattimelt to win...

That cupholders idea is both brilliant and scary at the same time. However, I think "brilliant" wins out.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Yes, it is!
My daughter did, in the past, once use my forearm crutch as a cup holder.
Smart little stinker. I wondered suddenly as I was holding it in my lap in the chair why it was getting so heavy LOL that reminds me, sheesh I have to get on ordering one of those crutch holders before our trip! ACK!
