I read your post. I'm sorry that all happened to you. I just had a week of my own recently. My computer died, and I had to replace it a lot sooner then I wanted to. I had applied for a trip down to New Orleans with my school, and had to drop out due to an old leg injury flaring up.
Hopefully everything is better for you.
This is the worse week of my life.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Re: This is the worse week of my life.
Just to update you all, everything is going a whole lot better.
The friend who took my tire to the shop and brought it back to me paid for it and refuses to let me pay him back. He says it is a late Birthday/Christmas gift.
The problem with my computer turned out to be a bad stick of RAM. I just went out and got a 1GB (1024MB) stick for a good price at Circuit City and installed it. I've more than doubled the amount of RAM I had before. I originally had 512MB but when the one stick went bad I was down to 256MB, barely enough to run Windows let alone much else. Now I have the 1GB stick and a 256MB stick in there so I more than quadrupled my RAM. A system monitor I have installed showed just over half my RAM being used by Windows alone and running Firefox pretty much maxed my RAM out when I had just the 256 stick. Now Windows uses less than 1/4 of my RAM and Firefox pushes that to just over 1/4.
For all you non-computer people, RAM is a big part of what determines how fast your computer works. For the most part, the more RAM you have the faster the computer runs. So, simply put my computer is better than it was before.
Pretty much everything for my trip down to the World is planned out. I have the plane tickets and an appointment with Casting has been set. I haven't planned out my days past my Casting appointment other than planning to see what happens.
When I get back to town I am going to get my taxes done and I am hoping for a very good refund. If I get a good refund that will go a good ways towards allowing me to finally move and to start working for the Mouse.
I had a lot of trouble digging up my resume. It had gotten lost off my computer with all the problems I had a while back. I looked everywhere (and cleaned up a good bit of clutter) but couldn't find a hard copy and I didn't have it on my latest backups. I finally found a copy on an older backup. I had to update some of it but it was better than nothing, especially since I couldn't remember the dates I worked my past jobs. I now have a bunch of hard copies, the resume saved to both my hard drives, on my aunt's computer, and in an email attachment. I won't lose my resume totally again.
All in all, my life is looking up.

So happy to hear it, Shorty. Still sending you positive thoughts and good vibes for that casting call. You can do it!
Keep us posted okay? :) And yay for your friend, taking care of the tire for you, very sweet. . .
Thinking of ya!

I need to drop off a copy of the PassPorter before you leave. Remind me if you haven't heard from me by Monday. And no, I'm not going to send you a reminder to remember to remind me. We went through all that last time. :D:

Ah, glad things are looking up. Hope that tax refund is as good as you are hoping, if not better!
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Thanks, guys.
I'll email my schedule for next week when I get it. Expect the email tomorrow night.Whazzup wrote:Glad to hear you found that resume, Shorty.

Same here. That extra refund thing the Senate and House are tossing around will also help a good bit.Big Wallaby wrote:Ah, glad things are looking up. Hope that tax refund is as good as you are hoping, if not better!
