Same thing happened to me a while ago. Discard all the cookies related to SGT and log into the site again. All should be good.

Maybe it can get a little worse. Apparently my van has an odd size tire and it will be after 2:00 before the shop can get a hold of one and get it mounted. I had to call off work yet again and I was ready to get back.

Ahh, well. Que Sera Sera. (whatever will be, will be).

Shorty, today I have to help Steve with those poles I was telling you about. But maybe we can get together on Saturday for lunch and you can vent to a real person. Sounds like you are having one helluva week and I'm sorry things are messed up for you right now. It will get better, and maybe in a few weeks you can look back at all this chaos and laugh about it. :)

Hang in there - remember, what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger! This is just a test to see how strong you are. You can do it!

Some good news. The shop found a tire quicker than expected. I ought to have the tire in about an hour. I'm on hold waiting for my manager to let him know and see if they need me to come in.

EDIT: And I'll be going into work. My manager tried calling me while I was on hold but I missed it because the hold beep for my store and the call waiting beep are similar. He even offered to come get me and bring me back home tonight but with my van getting fixed soon I didn't need him too. I'll figure it out later but it sounds like I can come in early tomorrow and get some more hours then, which will help.

Too bad you can't make that jaywalker pay for your tire. Of course, that would only be after many legal fees that would make it not worth it.

Glad things turned around on the van. Hope they continue to go in the current direction. You know if your boss is willing to give you extra time?

Hang in there! Sounds like you're going through hell, so whatever you do, don't stop!

Here's my story. We took the puppy in to get fixed today. Picked her up at 4 PM. She was and is totally out of it so I've been sitting with her to make sure she's okay and doesn't fall down the steps in the living room. While I'm doing that my wife starts dinner. She's cooking away when I hear, "Honey, there's something wrong with THE COOKTOP!!!"

I run out and see all the burners glowing bright red and smoke rising from the controls. I head to the circuit breaker panel and just as I open it I hear a big thunk. The breakers tripped on their own.

So, after a few phone calls, it's off to Sears tomorrow to order a new one for $1000. This designer kitchen crap is expensive!!

Oh yeah, the puppy sat there and watched the whole mess. Good doggie!!

YIKES!! Good thing it didn't totally catch fire. At least the circuit breaker functioned like it was supposed to, even if the cooktop didn't.

Oh man! It sounds like you narrowly avoided catastrophe there hobie!!! I'm so glad that the breaker did its job and hope the puppy has a speedy recovery.

Our cat had to go into the vet suddenly about two weeks ago and I was such a nervous wreck I had an asthma attack in the middle of the mall (this was before I knew I could get him an appointment that day) I almost passed out on my poor dad and kid! Luckily it turned out to be a minor thing when the vet saw him later that day.

I was hyperventilating and sobbing after we got home and he was okay. I told my husband. I've had doctors standing over me telling me that I had serious health ~&@! going on and waiting to see my brain MRIs and all of that and it didn't faze me. The cat has a lump behind its ear suddenly, and I come completely unglued.

Shorty I hope your day got better. . .I sent you that PM.

(and thanks everybody for the suggestion about clearing the cookies, seems to be working so far!)

The idiot didn't even see what he did wrong. He said I shouldn't have tried to beat the light. Thing is the light had just changed and I wasn't going very fast. Also, I know this crosswalk, I've used it myself a number of times. You only get a walk signal when all the traffic lights are red. Since my light was green he was crossing on a red walk signal. Never a smart thing to do, especially on a dark, rainy night. I didn't say anything as I didn't want a confrontation.

Extra time as in extra hours? I doubt he can, if I don't get scheduled 40 hours I can usually write myself in for nearly that and corporate is real strict on overtime, nobody is supposed to get it.

This week I'm not to worried about getting more hours. I tried to skip to an hour early today but had to go on a last minute run to a shop so wound up leaving only half an hour early. I had skipped lunch (we get an hour lunch, not that I need that long) so I would have worked the number of hours scheduled for me but wound up getting 30 minutes more. Tomorrow I'm scheduled to come in at 5:00 but I wrote myself in for 12:00. I'm thinking I won't make it in at noon but I'll be in sometime between then and 5:00. Today was a long day and with the first few days of the week each feeling a week long themselves I'm trying to sorta just ease back into work.
Hang in there! Sounds like you're going through hell, so whatever you do, don't stop!
Hell is right. The week has started to turn around, though. Had a good dinner with my dad this evening. I don't get to see him that often so that was nice.

I guess the cooktop wanted to cook everything REALLY fast.

The poor pooch is getting better. My wife took her up to our room after dinner. I went up after finishing some letters and found the poor pup trying to get comfortable but not having much luck. She's also got a wheeze from being intubated.

She finally perked up just before we went to sleep and was wagging her tail. I hope she'll be okay after a good night's sleep. I'll know she's okay when she jumps into my lap to have her ears scratched and nibbles on my fingers.
