Could it be that a high percentage of the more noticeable SGs also have an overpowering desire for alcoholic beverages of various types, and of mostly overly large quantities? This may partly explain some of the results. And also may explain the behavior of their offspring beyond simple poor training. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome does include a lowering of intelligence.

Luckilly some of the people who display a profound lack of thought make their fame with the Darwin awards and are frequently doccumented in News of the Weird. Such as the geniuses who holster their handgun in their wasteband and manage to insure they will not procreate when the thing goes off.

BTW For those who enjoy the stupidity of the SGs around here, check out newsoftheweird.com to see how stupid the SGs could be. You CMs can thank the stars that you are mostly getting the cream of the crop.

I was rangemaster on an adjecent range when a "TRAINED" person gave himself, with a .40 cal Glock, what is best described as a "ballectomey"

it was gross!!

Also for fun news, the snopes.com site also has a "daily" type of news service, don't know if its by feed or webcrawler, but its funny!

(thanks for the site!!)

You are right on that one. I hate drunks and seen too many of them in my life. I especially hate the ones who try to get me to drink. The regulars know better now. Sad to see them holding onto the wall barely able to get into their car and drive home.

I'm reminded of the guy who stumbled into the hotel where I worked, and I had to assist him to his room, because there was no way he was going to make it. He couldn't even continually look at me. Drunk enough that the start of the elevator was enough to nearly knock him down. When we got to his room and I opened his door, he literally fell into the room and that is where housekeeping found him still passed out. This being an airport hotel, he had missed his flight.

As captain.

On a major U.S. passenger carrier.

I saw him again, two weeks later, when he flew in again.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

He must have enjoyed the carpet at the hotel.
