SF can be cold in the spring but it depends on what part of the city you're. If you're on the north side wear a parka; south of Mission will be clear and warm. If you have the location info, post it so I'll have a better idea.
SFO to John Wayne is about a one hour flight.

Dress in layers. It could be warm but if the wind is whistling down from Twin Peaks, it'll be chilly and wet.
