Welcome! I don't know why the rest of us bother saying welcome, it just doesn't sound right when it's not coming from the mouths of marsupials. :D: One's on vacation, and the other's probably working, but I'm sure you'll get a proper welcome before long.
I'm curious where in DC you work? I'm sitting in Chinatown right now... I'd have a view of the Verizon Center if there wasn't a computer in my way...well...and lots of reinforced concrete walls... :p: I put a skylight into my office last week, but the people who work on the next floor up got so angry!

Yo, it's one universal law but two sides to every story
Three strikes and you be in for life, manditory
Four MC's murdered in the last four years
I ain't tryin to be the fifth one, the millenium is here.

Thanks Susi
Gads the SG stories I will gladly share! Sometimes I think I must be a masochist to work for local gov and take the abuse. For example right now I am dealing with a homeowner who did a rather large upgrade to his home, great wonderful, hes upset his taxes went up-DUH
We have a lovely program that allows homeowners to knock some of that cost off IF they apply BEFORE they start. Easy enough its not like you just double the size of your home on a whim or overnight. This chap decided to apply for a project he finished over 2 years ago and now of course Im the evil good for nothing that has to turn him down. What part of "prior to" is hard to understand?
Are we allowed to use the word "asshat" here, or is buttdedora better? puglears
Grumpy you are right, my other half had never been to anything Disney until I took him (he was 40 and quite a few years older than me) he had no idea what he got himself into when my inner child came out and had such a blast. Now we are both addicted and proud :bouncemic

I'm out in the burbs, out where the dragons live ie outside the beltway but live in Mclean. Im in the City every week to do stuff but the other half is scared of the City so don't get down that way as much as Id like.
Tried the Lucky Strikes right near your office? Fun
Thanks for the welcome :-)

Good for you guys!! I know that DW and I seem to feel a lot less stress when we have someplace to go like that! we can be kids and ride the attractions and not feel embarrassed. (I know we embarress the kids when we take them!) I keep telling them that we gotta ride till we hurl!! (we never do! did come close on the mission space before they toned it down!!)
As for the terms, I think you can post those terms and not be chided. If its too much the mods will PM you!

Have you ever visited sailinganarchy.com? It's a pretty common term there.
Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.
