Corporate Policy
At a press conference a Ford PR flack was asked to explain why Ford dropped plans to buy banner ads on Web sites featuring pictures of undressed celebrities. The PR guy responded, "We're a pants-on company."

Ford has had some interesting vehicle names over the years. They named one the Pinto and then wondered why the rear end blew up. Another was the Probe. I bet it had uncomfortable seats.

You're right. It did.hobie16 wrote:Another was the Probe. I bet it had uncomfortable seats.
One of my favorites was the Chevy Nova, which didn't sell very well in Mexico.
Gerber had some problems when they sent their baby food to South Africa's markets, not realizing that in SA, they generally put a picture on the jar or other container of what is inside.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I read somewhere that nova in literal Spanish meant loose bowels.

That new Smart Car that's coming to America seems to have some good safety ratings. A group in England did some barrier tests, and the doors still opened and closed after a crash into a barrier at 45 degrees and 70 mph.
