I have seen those mentioned, are they for merchandise, or other non-tangeable things? such as getting to smack an SG upside the head!!

I wish...No-strings are management's way of "empowering" individual CMs. At Disney they don't want us to be like "Let me find someone to fix this" but rather "Please, let me fix this". No strings are little booklets that have forms that we fill out with checkboxes of items to be replaced like merchandise (under $25, over requires mgt approval), food, or fastpasses. Most of the time we have to write fastpasses for soarin' because people are pissed they run out. But then managers get mad at us. You write them if someone's kid protein spills on their mom and they need another shirt. But all the forms are in duplicate so they can see who is writing no-strings. At the Land they keep them in key positions like dispatch/merge, greeter, and pavilion entrance. Sometimes if there is guest that is really nice and Soarin' has no more fastpasses I'll write them a no-strings. But you have to be sneaky about it. Managers are all over us about them. I think CM's should be able to create that little bit of magic without fear of repercussions.
Silly me!

I've never worked FWW, but I'd be willing to bet that no manager will ever get upset with you for writing a no-strings for Maelstrom. Soarin, I can understand, the potential for abuse is pretty high.

Well the thing is a no-strings works for any attraction. So obviously people want to use it on Soarin'. Though once I had a SG with a no-strings who wanted to use it on The Land...LOL!

For some reason, as I read that I was envisioning Greg Proups.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Just remember: "You can get more with a kind word and a gun, than a kind word alone!" hehehe

My favorite was last night. I have been known to do my maniacal laugh to people outside the bus, and it always gets the same reaction: People are shocked, then they point, laugh and wave. So imagine my surprise when a couple people came up to my bus at the next stop where I had done it to them, they told me it was really scary and I should stop and never do it again, that they were scared and it was dark outside and I was an awful person to do something like that, especially with my very sinister voice. They asked for my name and bus number, they said they were going to report me and yadda yadda yadda. Despite my apologizing all over myself, he wasn't taking a sincere "I'm sorry" for anything... he wanted something for free, I'm sure.

As I was closing the door as he was walking away, one of my guests, who was at the front of the bus and heard the whole interaction, shouted, "Grow some balls!" I don't think the guy doing the complaining heard it. If it gets back to me and the guy complained that I said that, then I guess I'll know he did. I went to MK and told a manager, who laughed at the whole situation. I don't think I'm going to be in too much trouble. Especially with what the person who shouted at the guy to grow some said he was going in (at the front desk) to tell the people at the front desk, not to mention he rallied everyone else on the bus to do the same. I'm very interested to see where this goes.

Funny thing about the guy complaining that he was scared, he looked to me to be a body builder and athlete who could take me down in a fight. Very muscular, as was his wife/girlfriend/concubine/whatever he said she was.

I really hope he complains that I shouted at him to grow some, because then I can explain that that was another guest.
