Best SG-isms

Post by CMGUY89 » Sun Dec 02, 2007 11:20 pm

What are bust Stupid Guest-isms?

Seeing Lightning: "Wow Disney makes it look so real!!!"
At DAK:
SG: "Where is the monorail station?"
CM: "There is no monorail service to Animal Kingdom"
SG: "Yes there is, I took it here from MGM!"
At The Land in the Tropics Greenhouse (it leaks): "That is so cute! When it rains outside they make it rain inside."
During Rain:
SG: "Can you do something about the rain?"
ME: "Excuse me?"
SG: "You have that big dome you can put over the park! I saw it on the Travel Channel!"
or
SG: "What time is the rain going to stop?"
Me: (in my head) "If you look in your times guide it might tell you."
Back at the Land, Unload: "What happened to all the pirates and that song?"

As horrifying as it is, yes. They are all true. The best thing is trying to keep a straight face!

Cranbiz has a great one from tonight. I'll wait and let him describe it. But it's a doozie!

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Big Thunder Ranch at DL had a guest ask if the campfire was real.
Everyone asks if the christmas tree is real.

How do you get to Santa Monica at night from DL? I had to drive the guest to Santa Monica as her other option was taxi of trying to catch the midnight bus to LA which takes 4 hours then transferring to a Santa Monica bus then another bus probably. lol

I'm not a cast member, but I have over-heard that one before. Also, a variation of it where some SG on the bus was discussing it and how Disney should go ahead and do it because "it shouldn't be that hard for them to build".

I have had a couple of good ones, I hope that I remembered the one I tole Big Wallaby this morning. (it's tough to remember what I said at 03:30 when I have to be at my day job at 09:30 and I live an hour from Disney)

I have 2,

First one.....
I was at Boardwalk and a SG comes up to my bus, sticks his head in the door and asks " Where is this bus going?" My Standard answer "What does my sign say?" (now since MiMs I ask this sincerely as the sign can be AFU) SG: It says "Swan and Dolphin on the front and Magic Kingdom on the side"

I go to him, "Sir, for the first time in a long time the sign is right, I am going to the Swan and then the Dolphin next and then to the Magic Kingdom"

Second one......

I was at Magic Sat night and was 72 out of Magic for AS Music. All of the AllStars have a seperate loadzone at MK and there are large signs over the LZ. When I get to ASMu, everyone gets off except 1 young lady.

SG: "Are you going to movies?"
Me: "nope"
SG: "How do I get there?"
Me: "Well.......You can get off here and wait for the Downtown Disney bus. At this time of night they go to all 3 All Stars or you can do this..... put your left foot in front of your right foot and repeat until you get to movies. (for those who don't know, ASMu is about the entire length of Main St away from ASMo)
SG: jaw drops and stutters unintelligable verbage
meanwhile just outside my front door is SG's siginificant other who is just quietly chuckling to himself.
Me: "of course, you could always ask me nicely" (I was already going to take them over)
SG:"Please"
Me: "Please what?"
SG: "Can you please take us to movies"

Me: "sure, have a seat"

My favorite was when i was working at Test Track i had a lady come up to me in a thunderstorm and heres what happened:

Lady: How long is the wait?
Me: Im sorry test track is closed right now
Lady: Why?
Me: Because of the rain, and lightning
Lady: But why?
Me: Well as you can see behind me the track does go outside and it is a hazard to our guests.
Lady: oh, well what time is it going to stop?
Me: Hold on (grabs radio and pretends to push button) Greeter to god 1, greeter to god 1, come in god1, Oh im sorry hes not answering, so i really dont know.

Guest walks away confused.
Fun times
