I was thinking of starting a monorail at home by kicking it off with one of these:

Zazu's monorail is on a back patio with a clear plastic roof. So his layout is weather protected. As to my campsite layout, you will notice the tarp roof and walls. I practically build a 20'x30' cabin on my campsite.kurtisnelson wrote:Ok, so that was a vague question....
Is the monorail always up?
And if so, what do you do with it when it rains?
Don't worry if you get slow responses to questions. Some of us are only online at off hours (like late at night) or even at intervals of a few days. If the ones who know the answer are among us, you may have to wait a few days to get more than a joke response. But don't worry if the answer is out known, one of us will post it eventually. :)

Oh, so that last post *wasn't* stupid. Sorry!kurtisnelson wrote:Ok, so that was a vague question....

No the monorail was just up for a month one December. That's the dry season here. I always took the trains indoors when I wasn't there -- too many kids with low morals in the neighborhood ... and too many lizards period.

Do the lizards have now morals or do they operate the monorail in an unsafe manner?Zazu wrote:Oh, so that last post *wasn't* stupid. Sorry!

The lizards wait for the monorail driver (Zazu) to lower the ramp so they can get on.ktulu wrote:Do the lizards have now morals or do they operate the monorail in an unsafe manner?
And yes, they have low morals.

Ok, for those waiting for the photos of my livingroom monorail layout, here they are. I just uploaded the 24 photos I just shot this weekend.
They are in the photo album of Onetrackrandy on Flickr.com
Now I'll go back to being an SG just in the parks and let SGT go back to slightly less OT subjects. :D:

Those are good enough to almost be scary.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

No, this is great! Whenever my wife thinks my (singing) hobby takes me out of the home too much, I can show her these pics and ask if she wants me to switch hobbies!!!susislicker wrote:WOW!
