Re: Mobile hotspots in the parks?
You guys had it easy.
I got stuck on cross-country drives at 8-track max volume with:
Merle Haggard - Okie from Muskogee
Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire
Over and over again.
Now the tables are turned and they get Snoop & Lady Gaga on MP3.
Oh, and I think I've found the answer for the OP!
"Your Sprint Portable WiFi Hotspot is now active...."
APN: Dont Be a Stupid Guest" - Security off"
So you can now follow me around the park for internet service. :p:
Just no downloadin' porn.. m'kay?
(And you know who you are!)

If you ever stop and ask yourself: "How do they dress themselves?"

Well, I think most of us have suffered at the hands of our parents musical taste. I just answered about *my* first 8 track. My parents never had an 8 track player, but they had *their* radio stations.Natural Selection Fan wrote:You guys had it easy.

Re: Mobile hotspots in the parks?
My parents used listen to rock music really loud(Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, etc). Dad likes to vibrate the windows. So I really despise someone else making me listen to loud music in a room or house. It's ok if I am the on playing it (and even then I don't like it that loud) but the feeling of being forced to listen to something loud really bothers me. As a child I was always wandering out of my bedroom to ask my parents to turn it down, never the other way around.WEDFan wrote:Well, I think most of us have suffered at the hands of our parents musical taste.

Well, that's nice.
Radio was spotty at best, hence the 8-tracks around the country.
Over and over. Haven't seen one since! :D:

I did the same!hobie16 wrote:I have to confess, I skipped 8-track. I went from 33s, 45's and reel to reel, to cassette.

Don't want to pass up an opportunity to get in a plug... "Aquarius" is on VM's last CD, Something's Coming -- and "Wimoweh (The Lion Sleeps Tonight)" is on our NEW CD, which will be released in September!felinefan wrote:The 5th Dimension album you had was likely "Age of Aquarius", which I had as a 33 1/3. ...
BTW, the song Wimoweh (The Lion Sleeps Tonight) has an interesting history; look it up sometime, along with the original lyrics.
Mostly-true story: we had to record it quickly, before Alex -- one of our younger members who does the high soprano line -- hit puberty!
