Doesn't have to go through Legal. Any manager can flag an account with this message. I've only seen those a few times, but when I do, they don't even get yesterday's newspaper!

Yesterday's tomatoes, maybe....

Any business that does customer/guest recovery or refunds would be foolish not to cleect and record the information. That's why when you return something they get name/address info. I used to work for a retailer with a liberal returns policy. You would cringe at the abuse. Eventually, though, if you did it enough, you got on "the list". And rightfully so.

They make cameras and microphones as small as a shirt button--they could incorporate those into a costume, and record evidence should an SG try to pull a stunt like this. If an SG tried to say the CM screamed obscenities at them, etc. it would be on tape. That should shut them up quickly. I mean, ereally, you get photographed when going into stores now, and often your voice is recorded. Or have hidden microphones/cameras throughout the park, for security reasons. Management can just play the tape and use it against the SG, and if a CM isn't doing their job, they can use this as evidence that they weren't up to Disney standards. We sure could've used a system like that at Knott's. It would've meant having to rehire new staff and upper management  , but hey....

That is the ultimate SG move right there. The nerve of people. What if CM's had been actually termed and prosecuted for this? :(

On a lighter note:

I do have to say it puts a smile on my face when I saw a GSR that the Director of Operations added to saying: " DO NOT OFFER GUEST ANY MORE COMPENSATION. THIS ISSUE IS CLOSED. CONTACT 300 IF ANY NEW ISSUE GSR'S ARE STARTED FOR GUEST." Apparently this fine lady (an AP no doubt) had filed 10 formal complaints on her 8 visits to the park this year. Of course most of them were petty BS complaints that she managed to milk free tickets and season passes out of.

It just takes one SG to ruin it for the rest of us. Thanks to a SG we now have lap bars on Splash. I am waiting for Lap bars on Small world.

The video recording you probably could get away with, but audio recording is a major no no. It has something to do wire tap laws.

Also there is no way to install button cams system wide on every CM, they would need a 10s of thousands of them and the system to transfer, store and catalog them would be overwhelming. The only time they would be ever used would be some sort of sting operation and I have no idea how that would work.

Simple solution: UO has signs as you go into the park that you may be recorded, and your image may be used for promotional purposes, and you agree to that by entering the park. Have some sort of notice like that, and use the fact that it is the private property of the company who owns the park.

Also, have it a term of employment that the employee could be asked to do it, and if they choose not to, well... they don't have a choice. I mean, they can get away with saying that anything I ever create while I am employed by them is theirs, so why can't they do that as well?

Correct. Also, it is difficult to identify who belongs to which voice on an audio recording. Difficult, too, to identify when and where the audio exchange too place.

There is a news story from Gainesville where a guy butt dialed 911 during a drug deal. They traced his phone to Waffle House where he worked, and the 911 operator at one point told the police over their radio that they were talking to the owner of the cell phone. Now, I could understand if the 911 op heard the guy talking to the cops and told them he was a person of interest, but to tell them he was the owner of the phone? That was conjecture on the operator's part.

Of course, I do realize that the newspaper writers could just be writing to try to make it more exciting and funny.
